For centuries we have planted and exported raw beans and its like we are stuck there. We have to add value to all our products. The lip service we keep playing with processing is the main reason for our poverty. We don't generate enough to meet our needs ,period. CSIR,Ministry of science and technology KNUST etc must justify their existence otherwise must be scrapped

The truth is government hasn't paid much attention to the industry. Cocoa farms have been destroyed to mine gold by galamsay operators. Mass spraying is on party lines.

this people always give the wrong information. how can this be since there is poor application of fertilizers ,insecticide and the worse of all mining activities destroyed most of cocoa farm.
