Ghana is paying six times its total oil revenue as interest on the country’s total public debt stock; that’s the computation done by former Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

“We’ll reach GHC99billion by the end of this year,” the Running Mate to the Flagbearer of the biggest opposition Party said in a post-budget presentation interview with Richard Sky of Citi FM.

“The interest on this debt alone is going to be six times Ghana’s oil revenue,” Dr Bawumia said.

“When we found oil, we were happy that we found oil, but the borrowing of this Government has compromised the whole oil discovery; you need six times our oil revenue just to pay interest on the debt, not even capital, so, it is a really sad development,” he complained.

THESE JUDGES ARE CORRUPT. PERIOD! NOW AMIDU IS GIVING THEM THE CHANCE TO PRETEND THAT THEY ARE NOT. WHAT A SHAME. WE ARE GOING BACK TO THE PRE-ANAS DAYS AS THEY TRY TO "EXONERATE" THEMSELVES.

Instead of asking for forgiveness,they are rather in a suing galore.
This is one of the things that makes me sometimes think that democracy isn't good for ghana.if this had happened in an authoritarian era,can the judges be behaving like this?

The problem you and Mr. Martin Amidu have is that you want to have it both ways or have your cake and eat it too.

Our courts need to get up to speed on reasoning, temperament and scholarly understanding of legal foundations and history. Hiding behind foolishness is not enough and it’s about time you Judge Ayisi stop being led by Martin by the nose. Anas Amereyaw Anas is a person with rights who chooses to use his registered social media address to reach readers. If he cannot do so as a person with rights in Ghana then both you Judge Ayisi and Martin should do right by us all in Ghana to bring an end to constitutional freedoms of individuals to report acts of criminal and moral turpitude.
