The average price people in the U.S. pay for electricity is about 12 cents per kilowatt-hour(kwh) (Context: A typical U.S. household uses about 908 kWh a month of electricity.)

This amounts to $108.96 @GHc3.8 = GHc414.05 per month. Currently Ghanaians are paying an average of (GHp46)i.e 12.105 U.S cents per KWH. This amounts to a monthly average consumption of 908kwh@ GHp46 amounting to GHc 417.69 per month.i.e. more than the average cost in U.S.
The power barges by KARPOWER will be charging ECG GHp 65 kwh, whiles VRA is currently charging GHp15 and Independent Power Producers (IPP's) are taking GHc25.

Now according to PURC there are seeking an increase in tarrifs for electricity, with ECG seeking 101 percent increase; VRA wants 108 percent increase while GRIDCo seeks 31.26 percent, and if the three are computed it will result in over 100 percent increase in electricity tariff.

This means that the average electricity bill in Ghana wil jump to 2 times what people in US pay.

Do you know why?,its beacuse someone has gone to sign an agreement to the beneifit of Karpower and their sponsors in goverment @GHc 65 kwh and they want you to pay for it. Why should Ghanaians suffer this and also which investor will choose Ghana over a country like the US, if our electricity bill remains this high.

How did the CDS sanction this raid on the NPP HQ and why? Who at the Presidency wants those files and the hard drives and for what purpose? What does Asiedu Nketia, Kofi Kportuphy, and John Mahama want with the hard drives and files of the Dir. Of Elections of the NPP party?
It would be recalled during the election petition Gbevlo Lartey and Asiedu Nketia pulled a similar such stunt where they sent goons to the registry of the Judicial service to forcefully collect evidence submitted to the highest court of the land; the Supreme Court for Asiedu Nketia's purported safe keeping(sic).
So the question once again what does John Mahama, Asiedu Nketia Kofi Kportuphy want with the files and the hard drives of the Dir of Elections of the NPP party for which reason they put the Chief of Defense Staff to this?
If the GAF did not know about it, how did those individuals get those military gear and hardware? It is not like they sell them at Makola market, so what does John Mahama and the CDS as well as Asiedu Nketia and Kofi Kportuphy want at the NPP HQ's?
Let us to very, very clear the increasing bastardization of our democracy employing the military apparatus of state by John Mahama to cower and intimidate the masses and Ghanaians is not an option and approach that will be countenanced and tolerated in this country.
The times of military dictatorship and intimidation and subjugation of the nasses is far behind us and let nobody make any mustake, it is gone, dead and buried.
If Ghanaians have lost confidence in John Mahama's govt, he better proceed peacefully out of govt instead of these communist inferior tactics.
Such conduct will have no space and place in our democracy.

In the month of august 2015,on the last friday, eight men in military uniform on two pickups, one had a registration number while the other was a military truck without number surrounded the chief's palace at Gomua Fetteh with M16 guns without the knowledge of the chief and the elders. Signal was sent to the police headquarters and three police commisioned officers came to interogate them and later they were matched to the headquarters. So far nothing has been heard of them. Fetteh smart investigations has gathered that these soldiers came from Achiase and that they were the same soldiers that shot three people at kojoku near Fetteh out whom one died. One of the soldiers boasted at a drinking bar at a funeral while eating that he killed the man. He further warned that if the people of Gomua Fetteh are not careful, he would deal with them. Through smart network, his picture has been sent to the BNI. Upon this I will boldly say the GAF cannot deny their involvement. The civilian double-wagon pickup they came with has a regitration number withheld.
