Lack of knowledge is the main problem in our subregion(West Africa), where we continue to worship Idols, invoking the names of gods which are demons, and the pouring of libation and rituals such as animal sacrifices.
Satan capitalizes on the ignorance of many, and so many people do not know their God given right. Your God given right is Life in Christ Jesus. Therefore, one has to repent and be properly baptized.
Satan also capitalizes on fear, hence the people consult gods or shrines for so called protect. Fear, together with guilt and shame came about as a result of the fall(of Adam, hence his descendants).
God has, however, reconciled us to himself through HIS Son, Jesus Christ.
God, the creator of the Universe HATES invoking the names of gods or demons. See EXODUS 12 vrs 12, God judging the gods of Egypt. See 1st Corinthians 10.20, against animal sacrifices. Read Jeremiah(find out the Chapter, as a home work) against libation.
Ladies and gentlemen, not until you want to study the Scriptures and discover things for yourself, you will continue to dabble in idolatry, due to ignorance.
The Kingdom of God has no accommodation for idol worshipers, PERIOD!
God has repeatedly abhorred idolatry among the NATIONS, and warned his covenant people against the practice.
And if you think you can not have time to visit the Church, or humble yourself like a Child and be in Bible studies to discover things for yourself, it is your own problem.
Believers in Christ should love their loved ones against idolatry, and it rituals such as libation and animal sacrifices, because it is appointed unto man to die and after death, judgement.
