Do we start projects without first counting the cost, source for funds before awarding the contract ? It is the same problem facing the much talked about Eastern Corridor Road Project. The Contractor working on Asikuma to Hohoe section of the road have abandoned the project. But every now and then we hear our politicians on radio and TV as if that project would be completed at no time.

The politicians' only interest is the amount of kickback they get from starting a new project. Once they've pocketed as much as they can extort from the public purse, they start looking for the next one. Meanwhile, the contra ...

The politicians' only interest is the amount of kickback they get from starting a new project. Once they've pocketed as much as they can extort from the public purse, they start looking for the next one. Meanwhile, the contractor is left out of pocket, the workers are left unemployed, and no road gets built. Repeat as required.
