What the MP is saying is an old story. Since the country gained independence the same thing has been said over and over again by successive government. It was only Dr Kwame Nkrumah's regime which had put what it had said into practice and established industries to add value to the country's raw materials. Nkrumah's gov't lasted less than 8 years - its work accomplishment had been exemplary - it had exceeded the total achievement of governments after its demise. All talk about adding value to local raw materials by government officials has been hot air; we are getting bored of it, we need a break!
