Why not jailed them other than they will not be out to fight on this dubious course. Why not go to South Birim. And do the same to them. I put money there after 10 years my money has sink into the deep birim river. The bank b ... read full comment

The argument of dismissing these workers (staff) was baseless and unfounded, witch hunting for being a whistle blowers of what has been going on within the Bank, stealing and shady deals both politicians and bank executives.

Wanton abuse of power and corruption are very rife in our public institutions.Corruption in this country is not just about politicians.It has to do more with corrupt and irresponsible public servants manning public institutions like private corperate entities.Junior officers are victimized on daily bases with reckless and irresponsible acts like illegal dismissals.The AG will run to court to cover these top civil servants instead of exposing and punishing them.They hide behind the cloth of government to attack subordinates on personal grounds and walk of Scott free because of their strong political links.These white collar criminals are untouchable because of their affluence and influence.Unfortunately it is these top civil servants who engage in all the illegalities and corruption in the Country's public institutions.They are the ones who violate the law with impunity because they sit and dine with State Ministers and other top government functionaries as friends and family.These guys will be frustrated in court if they don't pursue their case with utmost determination and relentless courage.It is amazing the extent to which government go to cover some of these wanton corruption,illegalities and gross abuse in public institutions.State institutions like the AG,National Security,police and BNI are all deployed against innocent and defenseless citizens who are often victims of corrupt top civil servants in public institutions in the most heinous of human atrocities.Media blackout is instituted to keep illegalities and atrocities of these sort away from public glare and commentary by influencing a gullible and corrupt journalists very susceptible to monetary inducement.The obvious reasons for this is to dodge judgement debts created by corrupt and irresponsible public servants and in the process cover these high profile civil servants with powerful links to the corridor of powers.Chronic institutional paralysis,persistent organized crime and corruption,relentless judgement debts churned out of public institutions is as a result of government reluctance to expose and severely punish for same.Even when a very hard working doctor was falsely incriminated with a mental illness and sacked to cover up massive corruption in a certain Effia Nkwanta Hospital,the government in league with the AG persistently frustrated the doctor's case at the Human Rights Court by influencing lawyers and other court workers.The doctor have been fighting a case bothering on gross abuse of his rights and survival since December 2012.It was only recently the AG entered defense in the case in a deliberate attempt to drag and kill the case to cover the hierarchy of GHS and the Health Ministry.Even then his lawyer was lobbied and bribed out of the case who never revealed the AG entered defense until a second lawyer conducted a search that proved the AG entered defense as at 15th october.The dirty antics adopted have unduely delayed a case pending for almost 4 years already by almost 2 months.The doctor suffered a double tragedy because he was a victim of corruption because he spoke against corruption.A selective justice system favouring the rich and powerful is protecting the corrupt and irresponsible hierarchy at the GHS.The doctor falsely implicated and persecuted have been unemployed for 4 years without salary and any benefit paid him.

Whilst both government and the opposition remain unconcerned about the allegations against management and board, UNICOF was the only hope for the staff. They came the union's apology letter that weakened the staff.
