There are NDC hired spies implanted in the NPP and its leadership to destroy the party's fortunes in the 2016 elections, and that must be investigated thoroughly and the perpetrators punished to set another milestone for our democratic dispensation.
This is the mother and father of all electoral malpractices that led to the removal of President Nixon from the White House and NPP should not sit idle by while some unscrupulous hired agents destroy the democratic will of the people of Ghana to choose their leaders freely and democratically. Contrary to what the discredited former EC Chairman said, this is another example of how elections are rigged far away from polling stations.
The NPP Constitution and its basic rules and regulations were in place and binding on all its members before some were elected to executive positions. So, being an elected executive doesn't mean that Afoko can't be disciplined according to the party's basic laws.
For instance, the president of Ghana is subject to the basic laws of Ghana, and if he flouted any of them, he could be impeached and removed from office even though he was elected by some Ghanaians. Also, President Nixon was removed from office because of his involvement in the Watergate Scandal.
Mr. Afoko was said to have been invited many times to defend and exonerate himself from the serious allegations leveled against him. But he failed to do so clinging to technicalities that did not help his course or that of the party, and the misconduct led to the application of the party's disciplinary rules against him. This is the Democracy and the rule of law that exist in the NPP party, and they show that nobody is above the law in the party.

I don't blame Nana Akuffo Addo for his perception. He can choose to accept the facts or the baseless assumptions. The choice is his. The cause of the seaming disitegration bedeveling Nana Addo's NPP stems from corrupt practices involving some highly placed officials which he Nana is unable to check. This inability may be because of his active involvement which is preventing him from backing the honest ones - National chairman and General Secretary - who are trying to hard to establish accountability in the party. Is it not puzzling that he Nana is sidding with those being investigated for miisapplication of party finds?
On his CHARGE of incopetece against President Mahama, is it not Nana's incompetence in managing NPP that has resulted in the current standing of a solid and very competitve party Ex-President Kufour handed over to him in 2008? If Nana has abismally failed this lesser assignment, why should Ghanaians hand over the Nation to him? Is it not this same incompetence which he is going to transfere to the Nation as a whole?

If Amidu could do so, why can't Akufo-Addo do similarly to prove to Ghanaians that firstly, he is right about the Government being corrupt, and secondly, that, as a true selfless patriot that he has been claiming to be, he would go to any reasonable legal extent to save Ghana from the crooks.
In the absence of any such attempt to bring the Laws of the Land to bear on those the NPP Flagbearer claims to be corrupt, he would be only be seen as a loudmouth, passive leader himself, given all that chaos which has been going on in NPP, lately.
If he knows anyone in NPP who has been paid by the NDC to snitch, why doesn't Akufo-Addo point those folks out and direct that they be prosecuted?
On the other hand, we may well have to settle in answering the question: "Is Akufo-Addo really up to the job"? One may wonder that if he cannot even expose and specifically pinpoint those elements in NPP he accuses of taking bribes from NDC, how could he succeed in exposing similar corruption in the Government?
It all seems like Akufo-Addo is only using this infantile excuse to cover up his own ludicrously inept leadership in the Party. Lowering his standards to these depths to charge his internal, intra-Party opposition as culpable of taking bribes from NDC is simply pathetic and shameful.
If nobody would do it, I would like to remind Akufo-Addo that it is his faction in NPP that has ever conceded paying bribes to Delegates leading to the NPP Primaries under the guise of some facilitation with their transportation costs.
Let Akufo-Addo deny to the whole World, now, that he and his faction in the Party did not pay folks to vote for him during the Primaries.
To most Ghanaians, the Corruption in the Government may not be provable by ordinary folks. But as one USA Supreme Court Justice (Justice Potter Stewart) once said of Porn, that when he sees it, he would know it, so could most of us do of Corruption.
So, nothing to that recognition of Corruption in our Government is new. What Ghanaians need and yearn for is not any leader who would just be shouting to us what we already know but rather one who would take immediate action to help stamp out the vice, having claimed as much prowess as Akufo-Addo has.
So far, all we hear from Akufo-Addo is hollow highfalutin rhetorical accusations with no attempt to prove the charges, or bring the culprits to book. It is as if he wants to borrow our votes on the promise that he would do anything different to eradicate Corruption.
Well, we did not have to pay Amidu a dime to have him sacrifice his resources and life to expose Woyomegate. So, if Akufo-Addo, who would rather have the World see him as even a better legal brain than Amidu, is charging the Government and some members of his own Party as Corrupt, embroiled in some bribery scandal, he should not wait till we offer him the Nation's Presidency before taking concrete actions to expose the culprits and prove the charges.
Failing to do so, Akufo-Addo would have to concede that as one more evidence of his gross incompetence and propensity to fail at most important tasks in his life, at least, politically and professionally.
Let Akufo-Addo therefore put his house in order first, and go after the Government members he knows as being corrupt. Then he may duly earn more than adequate credits to become our next President. Let him put his money where his mouth is.
