It would appear that those in control of the NDC, for the time being, were bent on excluding other bona fide members of the Party who may wish to lay democratic claims to who becomes the next flag bearer of the Party by excluding them even before the mortal remains of the demised President were interred. It is also symptomatic of how political party elites in Ghana and Africa worm their way into the confidences of persons perceived as likely to ascend to power positions for purposes of eventual personal economic gain at the expense of the generality of the mass of Party members and the Nation which every President swears to serve under the Constitution

Tsatsu is his Idol,role module,tin God.So Amaliba as a board member of GNPC steals state money for Tsikata and his Wife,like the way Segbefia ,Burton Oduro and Iddrisu wife the formal AG stole money for Wayome. Are they not government employees, even in a rich country like the US employees who came up with inventions and researches to improve the WORLD get a simple cake and a handshake at their send off. They go home to their stipulated general government retirement or separation benefits and not some willy nilly ex gratia awards which depend on which government is in power or party folks/friends on a board. Are we not opening a can of worms with this precedence? And if we are that rich why do we take loans? This corrupt socialist style of create, loot and share GOVERNMENT money must stop. Kwesi Pratt is the most dangerous Journalist Ghana had ever have, he had the gut to recommend his fellow journalists to be executed by PNDC. Pratt even recommended Baako to be killed by the regime, thank God Baako was instead touchered violently and severely but his life was spared. This is what Kwesi Pratt can do. Now Pratt is a secret agent to NDC and US Embassy in Ghana. May God forgive Pratt and spare him the untold evils that will come upon him and his generations. The souls of those journalist killed through Pratt's recommendations to PNDC will never forgive Pratt. Whether only one person had received payment is not the issue, rather the legitimacy of approving the package. Was there any early exit package existing which the four persons took advantage of? If yes, then why are the payments being pursued now after 15 years? Early exit or redundancy packages span over well-defined period of time and after which, any subsequent exits by way of redeployment, resignation, voluntary retirement or vacation of post are not applicable beneficiaries. The four persons if anything, should come under the terms of the normal conditions of service rules instead of a time bound redundancy package scheme. The Board of GNPC should come again and not to bend the rule to maliciously dissipate state resources to transform the lives of few people, while majority wallow in abysmal poverty. Let our prime loyalty be to the state. This is naked robbery shouldn't be allowed to pass.

Mr Tsikata had been imprisoned and subsequently pardoned for "causing financial loss" at GNPC.What sense would it make for him to be compensated if he is not made to pay back the loss he created.I think our leaders seem to glorify stealing from government institutions otherwise where on earth could this happen. CEO's receive compensation when they run companies or corporations well! How well has GNPC been run over the years . Remember JJ in his "crazy" days claimed public service is service to the nation and does not demand end-of-service benefits. He also ended up writing huge sums of money (2 cheques) to himself in the end.If "he" could not root out corruption in Ghana.....after all....who else can.We as a people would always be at the mercy of unscrupulous individuals called politicians!
