There was near pandemonium and confusion at the Annual Global African Investment Forum held in Westminster, Central London after a heated exchange between Ghana’s President John Mahama and former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo degenerated into open insults.This was due to General Obasanjo openly accusing the Ghanaian president and his government of blackmailing and collecting bribes from Nigerian businessmen in Ghana, buying numerous properties in Nigeria and South Africa and financially contributing 12 million dollars to Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign last year. This infuriated President Mahama who lost his temper and pointing his finger, called General Obasanjo an ” idiot” and a “silly buffoon”.It took other ministers present as well as Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni to calm tempers and usher President Mahama to a nearby room. The forum, which takes place from 1st to 3rd December is attended by African Heads of States Ministers, Private equity firms and investors to discuss opportunities for investment and development in African Economies.

The Chief Psychiatrist of Ghana's Mental Hospital, to all intents and purposes, has played God. But he knew the culprit wasn't mental in the first place when he was first arrested for holding a gun to kill the President. He must come off lying!
Supposed the so called 'madman' used that gun and killed the President; what would have happened? Would Akufo-Addo be catapulted to lead the country; what if another self-induced 'madman' from the other side of the political divide retaliates? Truly, the Chief Psychiatrist is a big liar and a conspirator. The earlier he leaves his post the better for Ghana.

I may be reading too much 'Whodunit' but this quick cure gives me much to worry about. The whole mental sickness claim could have been part of the plot to offer him a way of escape from prosecution. His mother that vociferously defended the son, and what mother wouldn't, might have been coached or only recently seen the staged pre-crime exhibition by the culprit of unusual behavior.

If his mental state was that bad all his life or even started much earlier, wouldn't there have been some well-known behavioral track record, or medical report to establish how insane he was?

After the Judges expose', we should be skeptic of almost everything in Ghana. So, I dare suspect someone could plot this whole saga from the start to this point of exit-to-safety.

We should not play politics with people,s lives because they are politicians. There is a bread winner in every family and the moment his or her soul is taken by someone, the rest of the becomes lifeless. Why call this boy a madman instead of assassin or assailant ? The attempted assassination plot to eliminate the president was carefully planned. I mean there are some gurus or maffians behind it. They know themselves but are hiding their faces. Either cured or not, I will recommend the BNI to take a tough stance to get deep to the bottom of this case. As ghanaians we need to treat each other equally and stop preaching hatred among ourselves. The treatment of this dangerous criminal is quite accelerated and the paramount question is why the rush ? Are they rushing to release him to go home and kill innocent people and rape two month old girls as well ? Wake up Ama or Akosua Ghana.
