All we saw in eight years of Kuffour in office was day light robbery of properties and owning them at all cost. He supervised a regime of no shame, penetrated into state reserve lands and forcefully paid peanut for them. Siphoning from state account and redenominated the currency with impunity. They demonstrated arrogance and excess abuse of power. It is unbelievable how Kuffour`s numerous presidential initiatives headed by Allan Kyeremanteng, all ended up in “MATREKO WO” island. Dumsor barge was meant to enable Ibrahim Mahama to own the majority of the independent power producing capabilities , increase unnecessarily the rates on electricity so our home start getting bills 3 to 5 times what they are now. We may be already refugees and second class citizens in our own country but that does not make deaf and blind to the truth. We know the root cause of dumsor is your Anti Akan hate agenda and because Akosombo is on Akan territory you have allowed mismanagement and neglect to practically put out of function one turbine after another. You spread propaganda and lies about some water level mixed with bullshit about the whole thing being old or obsolete forgetting that most hydro generators in the world are older than ours but still functioning. No talk of the possibility that its still possible to send these defunct turbines to Europe , North America , Japan or even Russia (NEVER TURKEY)and have them re-calibrated . Due to lack of timely maintenance from neglect and corruption blessed by the hate of the Akans politics mixed with Muslim caliphate destruction ,the turbines have all slowly spun out of axis and need to be dismantled to calibrate them , with the availability of new technology its even possible to increase the original 1000 megawatts to 1500 or even double if reverse turbines and other changes are made. He never amassed wealth for himself and family until the uncles of Otchere Darko and their accomplices in the Ghana armed forces kicked him out of power on 24th February 1966. I would have been surprised if he had declared any former president from any other political party as the best president Ghana has ever had. How many health facilities did Kufour build during his tenure as a president of the republic? And what is the essence of health insurance if there are no health facilities. Ghanaians voted against his legacy in the 2008 election and his party has since been in opposition since then.Lest Gabby, lest you forget, Rawlings' party is the party in power at the moment.If Kufour is the most successful president why did Ghanaians voted against the NPP IN 2008,they also lost the 2012 election, went to court and lost again. President Mahama is still in power and so it is unfair to grade him now. But I am sure that by the end of his reign, his administration would stand out as the most corrupt regime ever. But for now, President Kufuor stands tall as the most corrupt leader Ghana has ever produced. How can such a person be said to be the most successful leader? Kufour's policy of rezone government lands, and used it to steal and shared the 150 feet lands besides the Tema motorway, that makes him most successful leader. You are mad people to say that. Check who owns the land on which the former Accra International Students Hostel was located. It is Kofour, K T Hammond and others that own it now. How come?

Is that land their property so that they had to use the rezoning policy to steal them? Many African leaders took that path and so after so many years most of the continent is still languishing in poverty.. Just get the people food and they are OK,while the petty political elite loot to satisfy friends and cronies. We have to raise the bar because most of our leaders were in power as long as the eastern tigers but check the legacies.We expect the creation of the necessary infrastructures to make the life of the poor a little comfortable like roads ,schools,hospitals, and improved nutrition etc. Policies and programs must increase and generate wealth for the general well being of the people,and the wealth when generated must go to benefit all but not a few African type elite and their hangers on . If it is yea yea leadership then Africa has has a lot . To just have leadership for self aggrandizement is not enough. Unnecessary human worship and praise is what is keeping us in this quagmire of misery and poverty as governments go and come.

I think President Kufuor was rather the luckiest President, not necessarily the most successful. He inherited a new Ghana that had just had her love for Democracy reinvigorated, and the fact that Citizens had been fed up with the Military rule, and the Soldiers, themselves, had lost appetite for Coups, created the right environment to nurture a vibrant Democracy. More, the Country's debtors forgave much of our debts to give us a second chance with a clean slate to reinvest in our Nation. And still, additionally, Ghana's Oil deposits finally got an investor that was willing to share in the hopes and risks to harness the produce. The opportunity was plentiful for Kufuor to open up the Markets, and allow importation of the lots of the usual items that ordinary Ghanaians have long used to measure local Economic growth, foreign Grocery items. Then, the lure of the Oil exploitation attracted other investors as well, and helped ameliorate the employment situation for the Youths. How much luckier could a President be to earn high marks!

For comparisons, however, we should not use the enmity between the UP and the CPP of old to deny Nkrumah the successes he chalked for Ghana.

By now, we ought to get over the lies of the Imperialists against Nkrumah, and any shared animosity he had with his political rivals to concede that his achievements are yet to be surpassed, despite the Political pitfalls that later erupted to taint his overall record. Given the circumstances and the fact that most of the politicall mistakes Nkrumah made had some tugging strings to what the Opposition had been doing to get rid of him.

One does not have to be Nkrumahist to concede the fact that Nkrumah occupies the top spot for the best achieving President Ghana has ever known. Period!! Liking him personally or not would not take away that credit from him.

None of the efforts at rewriting our History would change that truth about our Country. I can understand how for current Political advantage to win the 2016 Elections, some in the NPP would like to dwell on the Achievements of Kufuor to court votes from the Electorate for Akufo-Addo, and therefore claim that Kufuor has the best performance record as a President of Ghana.

However, the irony sets in when we consider why then would the same Akufo-Addo's Camp drag Kufuor's name through the mud, with some like Kennedy Agyapong, tagging the former President with the murder of the Upper East NPP Chairman, Adams, without a scintilla of evidence.

Other Akufo-Addo minions like his nephew, Okoampa-Ahoofe, Jr., the Community College Professor in New York, has for years been slanderously attacking President Kufuor for not offering his full support to Akufo-Addo in the latter's bid for the Presidency, both in 2008 and 2012.

If these political indigents want to use President Kufuor's record to run on for Akufo-Addo's victory, why are they thrashing the former President? They seem to be saying that they would like to use Kufuor to help their deified Akufo-Addo win the Elections but find no other reason to like the former President. Right? That's simply blood-sucking hypocrisy.
