By 1970, the huge white elephant building was already sinking, and the poor Ghanaian taxpayer has been pouring hard earned millions of dollars into it ever since. What a shame!

Look all around you, Mahmoud, Ghanaians buy expensive cars without a clue the cost of regular maintenance, some build selfishly expensive homes to show off but clueless about maintenance cost, appropriate security and of course how to be self sufficient on electricity and other minor but important utilities. Tell me if Nkrumah has anything to do with dumsor? How about inferior workmanship and corruption? Mahmoud you can hate Nkrumah all you want but at the end of the day not even Nkrumah can save you and others from backward thinking or kokoase understanding of life in a developing nation.

Job 600, the pride of Ghana when it was constructed is now a relic of the past. The 50 year-old building is past its prime that for a long it was not cost effective to renovate it. The best economic solution would have been to demolish the building and replace it with a more modern edifice that is energy efficient, taking advantage of today's building technology.
