“Nobody is feeling your better Ghana”,

In the full glare of the President, Vice President, former President Jerry Rawlings, and thousands of leaders and supporters of the NDC, a defiant Greenstreet said: “…Currently nobody, I mean nobody is feeling your better Ghana.”

“Continuous ‘dumsor dumsor,’ corruption from top to bottom, left right inside out, and all the challenges you are facing [are] suffocating the Ghanaian people.”

He added: “We would have thought that perhaps you may have used an occasion like this to discuss policies, programmes and solutions to all the difficulties we are facing as a nation, but no, you chose today to share your Christmas gifts with each other.”

“Ghanaians are not happy at all. This ‘bronya’ is dry. Too too dry,” he told the President, adding: “The most painful thing of all is that you don’t care.”

“NDC continue, we are watching you, Ghana is watching you, do what you want to do, we also know what we’ll come and do…make sure you’ll elect executives who will be able to steer your parties affairs when you are in opposition. Boys abr3.”

Yes, it is about time that this should be the work of the CID of the police just to be complimented by the BNI. The BNI should handle cases like tribal, political and religious crimes. In Ghana, the powers that be always want the BNI to be involved in cases that their services are not very much needed. It is just like the way we use the military when the police can contain the situation.
Purging the educational system of people with fake certificates is a right step in the right direction. We need qualified teachers in our schools and not especially, the many who are brandishing fake Masters and Doctorate certificates.

Frank,the BNI like FBI can investigate anything in the interest of the nation,there is nothing wrong with that,my problem is why teachers are the target when professional teachers are posted to schools directly by the teacher education unit after their training,why asked a trained teacher to bring his basic certificate to school when you knew that teacher was trained at training college B or C,are we going to say if it happens that a successful trained teacher has no basic certificate then he is a fake teacher?

We have professional bodies which should deal with such matters but not a law enforcement agency which cannot perform its own functions but want to venture into areas that other bodies can deal with.

There are some teachers who has to pay monies to Agents (connection men), before their names are put on Pay rolls, this is what the BNI or the CID should peruse.

This is not the job of BNI to go after teachers with forged certificates. This is the responsibility of the Education ministry. They are given copies of booklets of all students who pass the exams organized by WAEC. All they ...

They are given copies of booklets of all students who pass the exams organized by WAEC. All they have to do is to call for all teachers to submit copies of their certificates then corss-check against the master list which they have. BNI has no business doing this job.

I recommend strongly that all 2016 General Election Presidential candidates should be made to submit ORIGINAL copies of their academic/ professional practice certificates for verification and attestation if the candidates claims they have undertaken a course of study. the Ghanaian constitution did not say the president must at all cost been to school . but if you put up yourself that you' have been to school and you have classmates then they must prove to Ghanaians before they apply for the position of President of Ghana.
Political parties can elect their flag bearers base on the due diligence conducted on the certificates they submitted to their Party officials.but once the flag bearers will contest each order in a national contest then Ghanaians have the right to know the genuineness of their certificates so that Ghanaians don't end up electing a President with a forged certificate or a President who has no professional Training classmate.
In Ghana we have a situation where a lot of people in prominent position putting themselves out there for something they claim they are but are unable to perform when they are put to test. I support the move by the BNI to check original certificate for Teachers but this must apply to those you are seeking the High office of president. The Ghanaian must be strong and expose these people .it does not help if you know any of these future leaders came to assume their present status in public by false pretense You know them so flush them out before its too late for us all .

reading comments, i realise its the guilty that is making noise. do you need a certificate to b an mp or a politician? but u need a certificate to be in a profession like teaching. some teachers have not been appointed but find themselves in the system whilst others are paid more than others with same credentials. as to the other sectors, am sure the state agency will visit them soon; after all, the BNI is the only credible state agency left.

If GES is doggedly eliminating all unqualified teachers through the checks of original certificates, then they should also consider the national service postings as well 'cos about 70% of service personnel posted to the classrooms are not professional teachers. this treatment on teachers is really unethical and needs to be reconsidered. besides teachers are not the only government workers in the country. there have been instances where government officials used other peoples thesis as their own work and still sit in parliament to make laws for the citizens. this shows the level of the country's naivity and greediness in scramble for wealth. i would love to see Ghana in a more better positon than this. equal treatment would catapult Ghana to our place of reality and not this kind of barbaric style of leadership. God bless Ghana!

The solution is that there should be a database by National Accreditation Board where after every graduation by the tertiary institutions or other professional institutions , they will forward the serial numbers of certificates issued by these institutions to. So that before your data is input into the controller's database they might have checked to verify the status of your certification from the National Accreditation Board's database before you are finally recruited.

Can't they compare that with those on they pay roll as teachers. what about those who have lost one or two certificate? Does it make them fake teachers because they could not produce their certs. BNI give us a break have something better to do. the ministry of education or the GES can easily do this job
