  Smuggling of cocoa has dislodged Ghana from the first position in global cocoa production. The government should put in place measures to stem the tide of cocoa smuggling.

  These incompetent ministers are full of crap. IC presently produces 1.6 metric tons of Cocoa while Ghana's production has declined under lazy Mahama from 800K to 600K.

  It takes a lot of planning, effort and systematic investment - Education, Materials, Processing to make laudable efforts in Cocoa. We have relied too much on raw materials and missed the boat. If Ghana intends to get back into this with the force it requires, we shouldn't be talking loud about this. It must just do. On the other hand, if the Minister and Government have said this, what timelines are they putting on making this a reality? Let's debate the timelines and use it as a yardstick. If this is just a tabloid ploy to get folks to keep them in power, then it's another thing. I leave that to the discerning Ghanaian populace to decide themselves. Enough of the rhetoric.
