If you had done so, you would have found that; (1) the witness to the agreement was being sought for fraudulent activities by the Interpol, (2) that the unit price for each of the turbines had been inflated more than 2x, and (3) some entities within Ghana had raised concerns about the agreement, which were disregarded. Sir, that is why you cannot convince Ghanaians that you meticulously scrutinized the agreement in Parliament.

I am not surprised that the AMERI DEAL being criticised now, is being seriously defended by Bagbin.

In this sphere of life, every done deal has an exit and revisit clauses.

If after a second thought, the NPP had found something disastrous, it has the mandate to revisit the deal in the best interest of Ghana.

It does not mean the deal is sacrosanct. It is unlike the furniture deal from China, which took jobs from Ghanaians and gave jobs to Chinese.

The power minister has explained that the deal include other things and not only cost for the turbines. And that is what Alban is trying to buttress. This deal was presented before both the majority and minority in Parliament and both sides saw the details surrounding the deal and they saw it to be good and they all agreed and pass it. If the opposition had seen anything wrong with this deal they would have raised it long time and the necessary amendments would have been made before it is passed. And to some of my brothers in the Ashante group please stop insulting people from other tribes it will not do you any good. Remember you alone cannot win election for the NPP and if you guys do not watch your words you will surely loose again. We all fought for NPP in 2000 but when NPP came we all saw this Ashante dominating attitude of some of you guys and this is what has led NPP to where it is today. The Hon member tried to explain issues surrounding the deal and I don't know what this has got to do with northerners that you are equating him to a Northerner carrying feaces? When the whites call us black monkeys I wonder how you an ashante man will feel then you turn around to insult your fellow Ghanaian base on his tribe or the section he comes from. Take the Gas, Ewes, Fantes, northerners, Bonos, and Nzemas if these people all refuse to vote for NPP can the akyems and ashantes alone bring NPP back to power?
