The last time I accompanied my wife to an Ewe affair I stood out like a sore thumb.Whenever my in-laws or wife comes with me to an Ashanti event they are made to feel at home as everyone welcomes them and treat them with kindness and respect.The Volta affair I went to was revealing.The moment the people realized I wasn't an Ewe they recoiled from me.The sad part is that I really love the Ewe culture.

Relax my friend, Ewes are very accommodating, just pretend to be one of them and don't try to feel superior as some people do. Ewe ladies will make you feel at home once you open up okay! Go and enjoy the food and the ladies!

George. the whole invitation sound not fair,why it's was written Volta region and it's states Ewe speaking tribes from Ghana,Togo, Benin. but the invitation writer failed to understand that Volta region comprises of other minorities leaving the ewe tribe as majority, if the invitation is for the people of Volta region fine but it's looks like it made to unite the ewe speaking tribes which I feel it's quiet unfortunate for the building one Ghana.when it's come to the national cake of sharing the ewe from Volta region see themselves as Ghanaians,but when it's comes to Christmas party they now preferred to bring in Togo,Benin and distancing themselves from other voltarians minorities tribes. we should learn to be Ghanaians first.Germans share boarders with (9)countries yet they stand together always as one nation.ghanaweb shouldn't be used as a medium to promote tribal propaganda.thanks

Even though Ewes comprise the largest ethnic group in the Volta Region, we must honor and include all other ethnicities born in the region; by birthright, they have a claim to it; therefore, the wording in the invitation, as well as the event's program should reflect unity. The region's development depends on it. It does not pay to mimic the wrong others do. Let us therefore be inclusive; that is what love and unity are all about.

I wish you all tons of fun at the party, but also I pray that this great opportunity to cement Ghanaian unity and love is taken full advantage of so that we may do our part in promoting Oneness among our people.

Bless Ghana, bless Africa in Oneness Love!
