It was a just like a competition. People were elbowing one another just to see the president for one contract or the other, or a gift, or one solution, or the other. Some of these people were coming from Kumasi and other towns. This scenario was an eyesore, and one person in this drama was the Chief-f Staff, Mr. Kwadwo Mpiani. Whilst I heard some openly criticizing him for one thing or the other, others were condemning for what he has been doing. I heard one man from Kumasi who said, "I have prayed I never met Kwadwo Mpiani whenever I come here".

Clearly, the president himself did not know how to say no. I heard one say he was coming for a car, that he used his own car in the campaign at Edweso, and now it's old and cannot perform.

Sycophancy is everywhere now. In the opposition parties, sycophancy is a daily experience to Akufo Addo, Nduom, Mahama Ayariga, and all the rest. Dr. Baah no doubt is one of the sycophants.

The question is can we eliminate sycophant from politics? That would be a big plus for all Ghanaians indeed! But that would mean whoever tries to remove it will face the consequences of party supporters, especially those in leadership positions in the constituencies. Next time, the will see themselves at the door of opposition, or be consigned to political abyss. This is the bane of our politics in Ghana. Even if you here someone insulting the other in support of another person in his party, he is doing it with the hope he will get 'something' in return. How can we uproot this canker from Ghanaian society?
