  Just go to the very heart of Accra near the Rawlings Park, there is a Plaza full of illegal connections. You enter most of the unoccupied stores and you will find installed prepaid meters but they enjoy electricity without filling and refilling. Illegal connections. The owner has a chain of stores but refuses to pay for water and electricity in most cases. I know for sure. Comparing this Pastor's GHc 19k to him is like apples and grapes.

  No doubt the Power Distributors cannot make any money because stealing power has become so common in Ghana. In my own village, I find it scary to walk around in the night because of too many illegal power connections.
  
  The strange thing is that, many of these thieves do not use the correct cables to steal the power. There are so many flexible wires connecting from one house to another all over the place. Flexible wires are not meant for such connections.
  
  Unless the ECG is able to weed out these thieves, it will forever find it had to raise the necessary funds to improve power supply in the country.
  
  These same thieves are the ones blaming the government for dumsor.

Our political heads have just become idiots and I mean it. They are only thinking about the next elections but not Ghana. When was the last time you had a DUMSOR at your place, Prince?   Shame on the Ghana Police for arresting a "Man of God" who just wanted to bless the power to help stop dumsor. His prayers were about to be answered when he was arrested, and now dumsor will linger on for a while longer.

  I bet they would claim immunity to such Bills as part of their Ex-gratia. These folks still enjoy endless benefits at the expense of the poor families who all have to continue to pay their Bills, Dumsor or no Dumsor.
  
  Meanwhile, these rich folks would most likely have stand-by Generators to keep them still living under light and comfortably when Dumsor occurs.
  
  Such is the Social injustice that Ghana has endured all these years. In the US, for example, the Congressmen and -Women and the past Presidents pay their Utility Bills directly from the remunerations they receive in their Retirement. They have no special package that exempts them from paying those Bills.
  
  These folks would have to find their own chauffeurs and pay them out of their own funds. The Government does not pay their Gas or Petrol bills when they choose to travel all over the place.
  
  So, let us ask ourselves if it is fair for these past leaders to keep sucking off our Coffers after taking their humongous Ex-gratia.
