52 weeks bring annually 338K dollars.

4.4 million USD brings a pay bakc time of 13 years!!!!

En thats being very conservative ans only taking into account the cost of building the park and not other auxiliary costs!!!!

The project is worthwhile even if the payback time period is 50 years bcos it will put some food on the table of Ghanaians. In the light of the above statement, are you saying the end justified the means, and Woyome situation was worst? When did two wrongs make right, eh brother? Is that how city governments operate in Ghana, or Ghana Mayors have dictatorial powers to embark on any projects they deem fit?

You do not care if the payback period is 50 years, so long as the project provides employment as well as recreational facilities for families, not to mention taxes for the municipal and central governments. And you are accusing someone of 'wired thinking'. Do you understand Cost Benefit analysis, and reading the above quote do you think the Mayor gave the City Council before embarking on the project? And why is the project named after some dead white man, if I may ask? My friend one corruption is not a substitute for another. Think!!!

Are you telling us that a project that costs $4.4 million with 17,000 cedis cash flow per week will be paid off in 2 to 5 years? Do you know the exchange rate of the cedi to the dollar? It is 26 cents to $1. In other words, our cedi is worth 26 cents US, and 17,000 cedis therefore amounts to $4,420. Multiplying $4,420 by 52 weeks equals $229,840. and using $229,840 as a denominator to divide the numerator $4,4000,000 should give you the payout period of the project. The project will be paid off in 19.14 years, i.e., almost 20 years. The payout period does not take account of whether the project will be profitable, and does not take into account of maintenance cost of the 20 years.

My friend use your head! Are you not concerned that Council members don't know how much the project cost? Why should the Mayor keep Council members in the dark, and who approved the project - the Mayor alone without involving Council members?

The bigger question is: why should the project be named after some old white man who crash-landed his plane at the site? Why are some Africans so stupid and brain dead? Who is Captain Rattray?

George Walker Bush Freeway was 100% funded by the USA, the reason former President Kufuor named if after the American President.

Remember, our late great President Kwame Nkrumah built our over 50-year old Motorway and appropriately named it Tema Motorway. According to the blueprint, if Kwame Nkrumah had not been overthrown, that Motorway would have extended from Accra to Kumasi and Takoradi, making it one of the best roads on the planet!
