Your Rawlings was himself a coward who failed to topple the SMC 2 headed by General Akuffo. His rise to the top was given to him on a silver platter by courageous and insightful men who fought to oust the Council. He was in prison awaiting his fate- a possible execution for treason when he was rescued. What did he later do with those who put their lives on hold for him? He killed most and exiled others. What did those leaders he killed do or have? Acheampong was seen as a very corrupt leader yet had nothing to his name. Today Rawlings have a chain of properties and can't prove who paid his children's school fees abroad. He could not account for Acc#48 to date after collecting billions into it. I can go on for ages without finishing his atrocities on the citizenry. Rawlings type of revolution is no more welcome in Ghana. Targeting a group of people and destroying their businesses. Damn!

JJ is one of the most corrupt leaders in our history. The fact that he had not been implicated in any corrupt case is, he studied the political terrain very well and covered his tracks before leaving.

The horrors and human rights abuses that went on during the June 4 era was the worst ever in the history of Ghana. People's businesses were confiscated to the state and state enterprises were sold to Mrs Rawlings eg Nsawam cannery, Kanda GNTC, state land at cantonments etc. Rawlings and his family and friends were the main beneficiaries. The criminal activities of the NDC government led by John Mahama are 1,000 times worse than those of the June 4 era. Go to the Supreme court and you will see a monument of 3 judges who were murdered by Rawlings. That monument is reminding Ghanaians never to repeat the needless atrocities of June 4. The key to the vehicle used to convey the judges to Bundase area to be killed, were picked from the dining table of Mr and Mrs Rawlings. Perhaps uncle Ebo Whyte was too young at the time to understand what really happened during the June 4 era. The June 4 changed JJ Rawlings from someone who was buying Yor-ke-gari (ie gari and beans) on credit basis, into a millionaire. The June 4 used to be a public holiday in Ghana but the supreme court of Ghana has outlawed and cancelled the celebration of June 4 as a public holiday in Ghana. Many Ghanaians have bitter feelings for June 4. The implementation of June 4 was terrible and horrible just like the present NDC government led by president John Mahama.
