The telephone numbers, emails and bank records of all the key people should be a subject of public inquiry with the intent to name, shame and jail all those thieves who have milked the state under this deal. How can one buy a bus for about GHS 100,000 each and brand it with peel-able decal for GHS 31,000 each with the face of a stupid and thieving head of state and call it art?

Seriously, we need a coup d'état to come and line up these pilfering scoundrels at firing squad range. The NDC is just corrupt to the bone.

At the end of the day, more heads must roll. We need our money back. This bitchy thief was all smiles in the Yentie Obia dance with John Mahama and the Asantehene at the opening of the Kumasi Airport runway rehabilitation for over $23 million dollars. She got away with that, and that is why she was emboldened to come with this GHS 3.6million branding for just 116 buses. Just imagine how many new more buses could have been bought with this money for our people. The gravy train goes all the way to the top to John Mahama himself. This is how they are going to finance the 2016 elections campaign - by inflating the cost of projects and pocketing it. It is classic create, loot and share scheme. .

The resigned Minister should be arrested together with Selassie Ibrahim and others and prosecuted for defrauding the state.

That is why every contract is bloated -- hospital renovations, classrooms, power, sports, road constructions, airports etc., didn't they inflate the bills for the Brazil games and yet nothing happened to anyone instead they were promoted. They are just making a scapegoat for this thief just because the noise level is high and many Ghanaians see the branding as unnecessary and a way to loot and share. It does not take a rocket scientist to know that politicians and high government officials are stealing -- just compare the income they make to their acquired properties, concubines etc and you will know things don't add up.

Some of you people spew nonsense. She is resigning because she has been caught and has been advised to resign or be let go. She should be made to refund money and also prosecuted. I wonder how many of these deals has gone through without notice. Mind you these shady contracts go on across the board and then the minister force the contractor to donate some of the loot to the party. It is common practice all over the place. The only way we solve some of this is have a mixed government -- majority in parliament from one party and president from another. In that case every contract will be scrutinized before approved instead of the stupid rubber stamping that goes on now. Also all government contracts have to be made public as is done in the US.

It will be recalled when the NDC party won the 2008 elections the Min of Transport at the time was Joe Gidisu the MP for Central Tongu. He was appointed as a Min by the late President John Evans Fiifi Atta Mills when John Dramani Mahama was the Vice President and the Head of the Economic management team of the Mills administration.
It was under the tenure of Joe Gidisu at the Ministry of Transport when the CP ie Construction Pioneers loot occurred, which was spearheaded under John Mahama, who was at the time, the Head of the Economic management team. In that particular loot, Ghana was hit with 94 million euros involving the Mills-Mahama NDC gov't with Joe Gidisu as the Minister of Transport. After the thievery was wrought on the national purse, Joe Gidisu kissed the canvas after the loot hit John Mahama's account.
Today, Joe Gidisu after allowing himself to be used as the vehicle for that loot is nowhere to be found in the who is who of high stakes thievery where John Mahama is King.
In came Dzifa Aku Ativor when John Dramani Mahama won the elections in 2012 after much rigging, buying of the vote, bribing of the EC and the sending off of the Late Atta Mills 6 feet under.
As Ghanaians are aware, a lot of loot have gone down under the Dzifa Aku Ativor Transport Min, after also allowing herself, to be used as the vehicle in the thievery of the national purse the only difference being this time around, the great looter John Dramani Mahama was in total control and an authority unanswerable to anyone, indeed, a Supremo, when it came to the expertise of thievery and everything thievery.
Then the Kumasi Airport screaming loot happened in which over a staggering amount of $24million dollars was used to extend the runaway of the Kumasi Airport. John Dramani Mahama consequently proclaimed the airport as an International airport after the kwacha hit the accounts. When Ghanaians and the residents of the Ashanti region complained about this loot of which Dzifa Ativor allowed herself to be used to bring to fruition, John Mahama said even if he paved the runway with gold, indigenes and residents of the Ashanti region would still be ungrateful, so he John Dramani Mahama will not listen to anybody and actually danced to the popular song at the time "y3 nia wo ho b3 to wo, yen ti3 obiaaa" by Daddy Lumba aka DL.
In a video recording which was leaked for every Ghanaian to watch, Dzifa Aku Ativor was captured with John Mahama and the Asantehene dancing and making merry which caused a huge uproar.
At the time Dzifa Ativor had become invincible because with the Master Expert of thievery in the person of John Dramani Mahama having her back, it was going to be more looting and more looting until the "Smartty's branding-gate" scandal led by Selassie Ibrahim hit the roof.
This was a thievery deal which under normal circumstances would have slipped through but for the vigilance of the minority in Parliament.
Matters became much murkier when it came to the two women; Dzifa Aku Ativor and Selassie Ibrahim, as to who John Dramani Mahama was going to have their back in this particular loot.
At the end, the invincibility of Aku was broken and history couldn't teach Aku any lessons, because Aku had become afflicted with the "short term memory" syndrome as stated by John Dramani Mahama the expert looter, because had Aku not been carried away by the semblance of invincibility, she would have known from the story of Joe Gidisu that it was all about how much one could loot for the looter in Chief and after that, you were on your own when the lid finally got blown off the thievery.
Dzifa Aku Ativor just like her predecessor Joe Gidisu, has bitten the dust and there is no sorry for her. She had it coming from a mile off when she accepted and allowed herself to be the lead person for the thievery of the national purse by the looter in chief John Dramani Mahama at the Transport Ministry.
Selassie Ibrahim from all indications has been given the magical words, she has the words to the cave, and the great Ali Baba the leader of the 40 thieves is waiting patiently for his share in the cave because Ali Baba does not give small money chance. This is the sad story of Aku and the great lesson of public service.
Folks let your vote count in 2016 because CHANGE MUST COME because that is the only way Ghana can retrieve and punish corruption in all it's entirety. Change!!!!!.

While we are talking about the cost of branding buses, we don't seem to see anything wrong with branding street light poles with the National flag. Have we stopped to ask if this is the best use of our money? Is it not a ploy to milk the country as much as possible at the least opportunity?

When did this tendency really take off in Ghana? During the 'glorious' reign of the NPP - the 'champions' of democracy, positive change and good governance! As far as I am concerned, if anybody should talk about corruption in Ghana, it isn't NPP! They sowed the seeds the abundant fruit of which we are reaping as a nation!

If you doubt this, ask yourself how GYEEDA, for example, started? Do I hear them talking about change again! They ought to give us a break!

May God give us a true leader!
