That woman should not go alone, a whole lot of heads must roll with her. The thieves are just making her the scapegoat and fall person at this time but you and I know for sure that the gravy train goes all the way to the president himself. This is how the NDC is going to raise funds for their 2016 election campaign, by inflating the cost of hurriedly rushed projects a la their majority votes in parliament and skimming the thievery marked up cost/price to their party coffers. Why kick this corrupt minister for paltry GHC3.6million when you wouldn't fire her for the extortionist $23million Kumasi airport runway resurfacing? That was the harbinger to the current scamming of the people for the so-called rebranding of buses - for what purpose or message hasn't been made clear to us.

We need a public inquiry to bring sunshine to the thievery antics of John Dramani Mahama, the congenital compulsive thief of the current era. A man so corrupt Atta Mills initiated secret investigation of him over the purchase of some planes from Brazilian aircraft manufacturer - Embraer. Fact is, they are not even smart thieves - just dumb ones. In an internet era when prices of almost every good from any manufacturer around the world can be found on the internet, why do these faux-revolutionaries think they can scam and fool us? Anokwampo!

This infuriated President Mahama who lost his temper and pointing his finger, called General Obasanjo an ” idiot” and a “silly buffoon”.It took other ministers present as well as Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni to calm tempers and usher President Mahama to a nearby room. The forum, which takes place from 1st to 3rd December is attended by African Heads of States Ministers, Private equity firms and investors to discuss opportunities for investment and development in African Economies.

The real issue to me is within 12 months of an election, the president's posters are being pasted on state buses at the expense of the tax payer. Very similar to the thank you campaign before the last election . The other issue is if the payment is deemed corrupt, shouldn't the recipient and the giver be hauled before a Court to answer questions.

Had the real amount charge for the actual work not been revealed, NDC would have diverted the amount into campaign account. THIEVES! JULOR!!!

I am surprised at the effusion of this Batinam man. Is he trying to take credit for what Ativor did, that as special adviser to the President on governance and corruption he may have had a hand in advising her to resign? I saw him on tv recently discussing corruption and found him to be very disappointing! He could hardly string any cohesive argument.
Anyway, if he thinks Ativor's resignation shows how democracy works, he should also advise that she should be fully investigated, and if found guilty be jailed for causing financial loss to the state.

She should step ndown as an MP. It is through public pressure that the chief justice sacked 20 judges. Why can't the law enforcement agencies come together to put this woman in jail. The judges were used as scapegoats to cover what ministers do. Where was Anas when the minister was stealing this money? Anas got judges sacked for 200 cides, what about 3.6 million? He who calls for equity must indeed come with a clean hand.

It was in the same ministry that Dr. Richard Anane became a minister of Transport, Roads and Highways in 2003-2006. And his embezzlement and corruption practices superseded everything in the NPP regime and he was never sacked nor resigned.

Further from the AUDITOR-GENERAL's REPORT 2005;

1. Under the Ministry of Transportation where Richard Anane was Minister, the Department of Urban Roads in Kumasi failed to present for audit, vouchers for payments totalling 13 billion old cedis that they claimed they made to contractors. The propriety of the payments could therefore not be ascertained.

2.Under the same Richard Anane, Ghana Highways Authority in Accra paid mobilization allowances amounting to 13.1 billion old cedis to various Ghanaians to undertake jobs for the Government, which were not done. Contrary to the rules they had not been recovered as at end of December 2005.

3.Under Richard Anane again, a contract amounting to 10.96 billion old cedis was varied to 12.78 billion old cedis without going through the Central Tender Board.

What is more corrupt,wrecking, embezzling and damning than such a regime of looters that condoned and connived with these atrocious acts?

Their own opposition political party today, the same create,loot and share (CLS) continues from their flagbearer and whoever that complains must be shown the exit which is why the likes of Paul Afoko (Chairman ), Sammy Crabbe (2nd Vice), Kwabena Agyepong (Secretary) etc are no longer members of the NPP. what a disgrace?

Hon. Dzifa Aku Attivor is a woman to be celebrated for her resignation to pave way for a full investigation into an alleged act of malfeasance. How many of the NPP former ministers have done something like this before, when there were evidence of corruption during their tenure? At best, they were encouraged to loot more for sharing at the heart of the OFFICE OF ACCOUNTABILITY established by Fmr President Kuffuor.

Today, President John Mahama is committed in fighting corruption in every sphere of his government, he is not covering anyone who involves himself/herself in any act of embezzlement.

Although Attivor has resigned, the matter does not end there. She should be probed and tried and if found guilty should go to jail to serve as a deterrent to other NDC thieves.

Because the ministers are untouchable you went for the judges.
