What is happening at the moment is definately a global issue which is affecting all nations as a result of the undemocratic manner of the USA and the Western Europeans removing governments in other nations. In the case of Africa the killing of Gaddaffi has a very serious negative effect on the security of the continent Africa, including Ghana. Arms and national security control under Gaddaffi was very strict and this benefitted the sahel region.
Now the suspects are to be interviewed and would be brought before the court to answer questions. Through the investigations if it is established that the Interior Minister did not do his job well then he hsa to resign. Not too long ago I wrote about having so many fulani herdsmen with AK47 roaming around the nation and settling at stragestic parts of the nation, with cattle grazing around state institutions and regional headquarters. They fitted typical Taliban outfits. Nobody said or did anything about it. Then about two months to the elections we raised concerns over unusual influx of young non english speaking travellers aboard buses from Tamale area through Kumasi and Koforidua to Accra and the metropolitan areas with some coming through Aflao areas. All of them had book bags with bulgy protrusions indicating presence of weapon stripped or hidden around their shoulders. This was during the heights of political tensions immediately before and after the elections. Who knows what they were poised to do or strike at the least volcanic reaction. Thank God Nana Addo opted to go to Court. And that spared us a catastrophe. Ghana is sitting on a time bomb and we must all open our eyes well to save our nation. The EC must think a lot deeper into bringing harmony by having a new Voter Register to have a peaceful election. We have had enough of the government's dishonest dealings all year around. We just want peace for the entire country. It will not cause us any more painful detriment to have a new register than to fight a political war over a preventable folly. Any wise person can discern a foreseeable gloom awaiting the EC's recalcitrancy.

Challenging to imagine, isn't it? Like all of us, these people still have to respect and obey the inflexible law of the land.

It is in such an ongoing state of mind that leads them to join gangs or societies-- secular or religious, violent or nonviolent-- in which brotherhood of members gives them a sense of well-being, hope, and a family life.

The government of Ghana cannot help all the marginalized by itself. Private citizens, churches and civil societies are all needed to alleviate the suffering of the marginalized in order to avert delinquent behavior of the marginalized.
