EC is milking Ghanaians to line their pockets through dubious contracts like bus branding and Ameri. Bring in a Briton or American to organize the election and I bet less than half the money will be involved. With all these years of election EC has not acquired durable assets that can be used over a long period. Can you imagine what this money can do for the poor?

Ghanaians who are poor should be able to get monthly cash or checks from the govt. This will spur the economy financially and will reduce corruption. Poverty is making ppl do unwholesome things in ghana. Degrading acts just.for money. There are no morals and values in gh society

Ghana’s President Hurls Insults At Obasanjo At African Forum In London-bloomberg
There was near pandemonium and confusion at the Annual Global African Investment Forum held in Westminster, Central London after a heated exchange between Ghana’s President John Mahama and former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo degenerated into open insults. This was due to General Obasanjo openly accusing the Ghanaian president and his government of blackmailing and collecting bribes from Nigerian businessmen in Ghana, buying numerous properties in Nigeria and South Africa and financially contributing 12 million dollars to Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign last year. This infuriated President Mahama who lost his temper and pointing his finger, called General Obasanjo an ” idiot” and a “silly buffoon”.It took other ministers present as well as Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni to calm tempers and usher President Mahama to a nearby room. The forum, which takes place from 1st to 3rd December is attended by African Heads of States Ministers, Private equity firms and investors to discuss opportunities for investment and development in African Economies.

850 voters per polling station? Does that mean we have more than 24,000,000 voters in Ghana? By the way, what's the population of Ghana? Something is just not right with our country.

Plus, if the target average traffic is 850, 16M divided by 850 is not 29,000! We don't need more than 19k polling stations . . .smh.

You are right 1 polling station to :850 voters means we need less than 19000 (18985) polling stations. So obviously the math doesn't add up.

" --- So it means per the new math where we rather need 19k stations we can reduce the budget by 660 million Ghc since each 1000 stations cuts budget by 60million. Hmm GH for u. More stealing

The EC came to parliament to request for money to cater of 24.65 million voters in Ghana, but not even the speaker of parliament could remember that the entire population of Ghana could not all be voters come November 2016. If the EC chairman came to the august house with estimated figures, why she not sent away to come back again another day with reasonable figures.
What should anybody expect of a population of fools and idiots? Supposing that little girl comes back in March to demand 500 million for a new voters register, without which there could be imminent chaos in November, would it be approved or not?

The government has failed you. Your MPs have compromised their position. The EC is a total mess of themselves. What future do you aspire to if these are the people leading you into such unknown?
Rawlings stood against the wrongs of his time when he was only 32. Jesus was a couple of years younger when he turned everything upside down for the good of posterity! Mandella was not quite 50 when hw was sent to prison for standing up for the good of the future of his people.
I am now 60, and feel sorry for all my failings in regard to defend the ills of society. Please do not wait any longer until you get to my age and then realise that every bad thing that is happening around you has been caused by your failure to act when it mattered most!
Arise, and stop the rot in the country.
