It is the responsibility of the government of John Mahama, under the constitution, to protect and defend the weak and gullible citizens of Ghana. Micro finance has deceived these vulnerable people to believe that their investment will be doubled over 3 months. Most invariably, it is the weak and the poor who will fall prey to such cunning enticement. They are weak in judgement and therefore need to be protected and defended by the constitution all the time. The government of NDC has the constitutional powers to resolve the conflict so that the clients (victims) get their money back as soon as possible.

This could be a serious blow on the NDC party and government. In fact the government must take charge and settle clients before we get into the chaos of another PIRAM. In the days following the early democractic era of Rawling when a famous PONZI scheme was used to swindle a lot of Ghanaians in the capital of Accra.
Just like the derivatives trading that triggered the recession as well as mortgage loans in the USA it was the Obama government that came to the rescue of "big banks." And a recovery plan under TARP.
This is not a recession but government cannot sit down and expert banks to rip off customers.
It is government's responsibility to save customers especially when this the situation is said to have caused death from stress and hardship.
Remember Tain was the only hope by which president Mills ever won the election in Ghana. And that is BRONG AHAFO so you do not want to hurt the people so as they will resort to solidarity vote against Mahama and the NDC.
THE moment the NDC loses Brong Ahafo they lose the election 2016. Giving away this treasured country of ours to Mr. Nobodies.
It don't matter Anymore Lordina Mahama is from the region.
The question the indigines will ask her is what did you do to save our lives. "So go to hell." Not even Asiedu Nketia's pleas will save the day. It could be very too late by then.

The blame should lie squarely on the door steps of the Bank of Ghana.
These microfinance companies were operating profitably until the bank of Ghana interfered in the name of protecting customers.
In the process, they rather killed 45 people. Now who is protecting customers?
The reason the line of DKM and God is love are unable to operate is because of the injunction placed on them by the bank of Ghana.
If the bank of Ghana really cared about customers, they would have given the microfinance companies time to fix their books whiles still continuing to operate under supervision until all the regulations were met.
Instead, they stifled the companies by preventing them from operating and in the process made it difficult for the microfinance companies to continue to meet their obligations to their customers.
There is a sinister plot to all this but bank of Ghana would like the public to believe that they acted in the interest of the public.
The real truth is that, these microfinance companies were out competing the big political wigs. so they got their friends at the bank of Ghana to kill off the microfinance businesses.The temporary grant of permission to operate given to the microfinance companies was essentially done to enable them to pay their customers their deposits and then go out of business. It was not mean to help the microfinance companies go back into operation.
The fault lies squarely at the doorstep of the Bank of Ghana.

Such betrayal of public trust by financial Institutions has a far-reaching repercussion that deepens the cycle of poverty and people's reluctance to save with our financial institutions.

For many who did not know why our forefathers and -mothers would hide their wealth in earthen pots, under some huge trees and Palm Trees, their distrust of the Colonial Government's intentions was part of the reason.

Surely, hiding cash and gold in pots under trees in the bush was not a very good option to protect wealth. But the distrust of the Colonial, imperialist occupiers was so deep that our ancestors thought they had better taken that chance than entrusted their wealth with the Colonial Power which had, in all respects, been snatching our Natural Resources and other wealth from right under our noses. Even though these current financial Institutions may be fully private, the People identifies them as having the backing, at least legislatively, of the Government.

Now, we see similar distrust potentially creeping up with the micro-finance thievery. Our Government should therefore stretch the culprits to the farthest possible limits of the law to not only retrieve all the Clients' money but also to adequately compensate the Clients.

We should deny such Companies any right of filing for bankruptcy, and ensure that the managers or owners of such fraudulent financial Institutions lose all their personal wealth along with whatever we could retrieve from the Company, in addition to their serving long prison terms, if found guilty.

It is acts of thievery like this, coupled with blatant bureaucratic corruption, that undermine the Capitalist System in Ghana. If we fail to ensure that our Institutions work very well for the People, the People would always be skeptic of the System, and be easily courted away by other systems.

I think the first thing to do was to get Police involvement to Validate the Central Bank Audit Report to bust/ arrest the Directors of those Companies to Charge and process them for Court. B'cos this mean life or death to Customers,and for Financial Institutions to desist from Swindling Customers,for people to have Confidence in the Financial Sector (Banking & Investment ), The Court is Compelled to treat Such Cases with all the Seriousness it deserves so as not to breakdown the Economyof the Country (govt inability to control money,if it's kept in the houses),and therefore different from a friend or neighbour who has taken you to Court for Owing him Money.in which Case one could have some breathing space to Settle the amount. Therefore,the Case become lame and may be handled ordinary in Court in our part of the World,if you personally appoint the Service of a lawyer, without the Police involved.It is better to take Class Action than individually. The Financial Companies has to pay all their Clients or in default,their Assets Land & Buildings should be Sold, Money they have or proceeds from their Investment,if any,would be used to offset their indebtedness to their Clients/ Customers.Whether Payment is made or Not, Owners of Financial Institutions will be Sentenced to Serve long Term Jail time no matter what. Yes! don't forget that some Customers had already died in their efforts to get their money in frustration,and in Vain. Reminders!
