Are we not a joke? A businessman defrauds the state of Ghc 51.2 million and walks away free, having been aided by the combined chicanery of political and state officials. Subsequently, a true son of the land, successfully obtains judgement against the fraud that had been perpetuated. It was at that state, almost seven months ago, that Ghanaians were told that the businessman in question Mr. Alfred Woyome, had agreed with the government to pay up the Ghc 51.2 million debt by end of December 2015. We are now being told a bizarre story by the lawyer of Mr. Woyome, according to this article. What a shame!
For the first time in the history of this country, a thief is bold enough to tell the nation when he will be comfortable to pay up money he had stolen. The thief is saying this, not from behind prison bars, where he should rightly be, but from the comfort of his home. The Ndc government is certainly setting records for itself in very negative ways. And it is no longer fun.

The Woyome guy stole from us a single bulk of cash. We want that back with due interest. It is way overdue in full payment. We do not, and would not, accept the stolen money to be paid back in bits over decades. We want all of it and the interest now!!

If the Lawyer does not think Woyome would have enough of his own funds to pay for the legal expenses the Lawyer may be entitled to, the burden of payment should not be foisted upon us. The Lawyer must rather enter into some arrangement with Woyome to be paid, but not at our expense.

The longer any part of the funds stays in Woyome's personal account, the more interests he accumulates on it for his personal benefits. We are demanding that he should not benefit a penny from using our funds illegally.

I bet my bottom dollar that Woyome might have long invested the Money to grow it into his personal accounts, and the playing for time to repay under some installment payment plan would be defeating the purpose for which the Funds are being retrieved. He would have used the stolen money to work for him to become rich by us illicitly.

So, Lawyer Buabeng must have simply brought in the Cash many yesterdays ago. If Ghanaians do not get the full payment of the said amount by the end of today, Woyome must be arrested and jailed and all his earthly assets seized to the State forthright.
