There was near pandemonium and confusion at the Annual Global African Investment Forum held in Westminster, Central London after a heated exchange between Ghana’s President John Mahama and former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo degenerated into open insults.This was due to General Obasanjo openly accusing the Ghanaian president and his government of blackmailing and collecting bribes from Nigerian businessmen in Ghana, buying numerous properties in Nigeria and South Africa and financially contributing 12 million dollars to Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign last year. This infuriated President Mahama who lost his temper and pointing his finger, called General Obasanjo an ” idiot” and a “silly buffoon”.It took other ministers present as well as Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni to calm tempers and usher President Mahama to a nearby room. The forum, which takes place from 1st to 3rd December is attended by African Heads of States Ministers, Private equity firms and investors to discuss opportunities for investment and development in African Economies.

This central government experiment in Ghana has failed massively. What is the point of allowing political parties and politicans in Accra to sell off our resources in our regions,denigrate our enviroments and leave us poor while they blow these monies on frivilous shit and tribally motivated developments.

Enough of this nonsense!

Why shouldn't a place like western region keep at least 30% of the oil,gold,timber,rubber,bauxite,cocoa resources that are carted away each year by thieving politicians in Accra to develop their regions and spend on foolishless.

This is the future of Ghana. Every region should keep 30% of its resources and taxes for the region period!

Samson Oje is an Old Tamascan that means he is a product of Tamale Secondary School..It used to be the Gov't Secondary,then in 1970 it became Gbewaa Secondary and in 1972 they changed it to the Tamale Secondary School, obviously in the Northern Region.

I was in the same House with Samson Oje,(Livingstone Hse, which later became Pattison Hse). Oje was even an athlete and he used to be a 440 yard(now 400m) runner. We knew Oje to be from Damango also in the Northern Region. If anyone is in doubt please consult Alhaji MND Jawula,(GFA fame) he used to be the House Master of Livingstone/Pattison from 1970 to 72.

He attended TAMASCO from Form One to Five and moved to Navrongo Secondary for Sixth Form, from where he joined the Military. So the report is not entirely wrong. Oje was a dare devil, 100m, 200m 400m champipon in the North in those years and NAVASCO and chose NAVASCO over TAMASCO!

In the 70s the 100 and 200m champions in the North were Leon or Lion from Navasco, Seidu and Musah Kasamba from Tamasco and Odonkor from Bawku Secondary. Later it became a one man show by Asuma Mahama of Tamale Business Secondary then Commercial Secondary School.

The 400m champions was a purely Tamasco affair It was one Nkrumah Hse guy I believe he was called Asiedu, then Munkaila Z.Y and later Munkaila's class and house mate Mahama( He had a nickname I can not recall) from Salaga.

Oje was mostly used for relays. My refs: Alhaji MND Jawula, and all Old Tamacans(1967-72)

Many senior officers were frustrated just because the "old soldier" refused to go, thanks to his kinsmen in Govt then. With the NDC, for only seven years , there have been already 3 CDS.
