  Those Ahafos paying allegiance to the Asantes and see themselves as Asantes don't care a hoot about the Region; all their businesses and houses are established in Kumasi. Until the Ahafos are separated from the Bonos for their own region, there would be no meaningful development as the districts and the towns are all indepedent of each other. In this case, let each districts/towns concentrate on developing their own or let's advocate for the separation of the Ahafos from the Bonos since the reason for the creation of Bono/Ahafo has outlasted its purpose.

  Brong Ahafo deserve it share of the national cake. From Npp to Ndc little has been done for the region in terms of infrastructure development. B/A region contributions a lot towards the national coffers but little is giving to the region because we don't talk or demanding our shared of the national cake the people of Ghana think we are stupid, we are not. Check out what is going on in other regions which contributions little but there is a lot of development on going. Just to name a few, modern markets, studium ,roads, schools, what have you, built by foreign contractors. Sunyani the regional capital don't have any modern market, library, housing ,technical school, modern nursing school, modern sports studium and top of all not even one factory to cater for the youth in the capital, and check out the the so called university is a laughing stock the other was given to a foreign contractor to build it from scratch,to mention a few. Is it because we are not complaining that is the resson why both Ndc and Npp are treating us this way? Arise people of B/A, we no go sit down to be cheated everyday

  Yes, it is for all of the points that you have highlighted that I believe that decentralisation needs to take place in Ghana. National Government has not worked particularly with the NPP or NDC in power. The Executive powers of Central Government need to be reduced and transferred to democratically elected Local Assemblies in each of the 10 Regions. These Local Assemblies must have the responsibility for the Budgets of their Region. For example, collecting the revenues and allocating expenditure. I believe that corruption would be reduced from it's current levels as their would be more financial transparency created at a local level. Currently, who knows the budget figures for their Region ( income & expenditure figures?).
  Successive Governments have used Developmental Project as bribes ahead of Elections to win more votes. It is the same as stealing and eating meat or fish and leaving the owner with just bones.
  National Government does not work in Ghana,
  the Regions must control their own resources and futures.
