The 2016 presidential candidate of the People’s National Convention Dr. Edward Mahama has alluded that the power crisis that has bedeviled the country for over three years is as a result of corruption in government.

According to him, corruption is the root cause of all the problems that the country faces adding that if the country’s revenue was properly managed, Ghana shouldn’t have experienced dumsor.

Ghanaians have battled severe power cuts over the last three years with the nation’s power distributors sometimes shedding as much 650 megawatts during peak times
Corruption is the reason why we have dumsor and I have said that I will be the David to fight the Goliath in Ghana which is corruption.

“Corruption is hurting me…I am saying corruption because the installed capacity for generating power is there and we are unable to pay for gas. Where is the money, everybody knows that Ghana is rich so its corruption,” Dr. Mahama said.

But surprisingly between JULY and SEPTEMBER when the EC public FORUM, NPP had as at then not submitted any EVIDENCE to the EC yet they were on the street demonstrating.

So when is NPP Supporters going to use common sense to that their leaders are deceiving them. If don't one may they be granted one(common sense)

Does he admit and acknowledge that the towns bordering our neighboring countries served as an avenue for the bloating of the voters register, on the pretext those from those neighboring countries are Ghanaians, although he cannot show any bonafide Ghanaian their citizenship as Ghanaians? Does he admit and acknowledge that in the case of the CPP's Jomoro constituency which was held by Samia Nkrumah, the daughter of Ghana's first President, the NDC party of which he is the General Sec through this process of bloating the register, Samia Nkrumah lost her seat?
So how can Dr. Bawumia falsify any document when he shows there are nationals of other countries on Ghana's register whose citizenship cannot be ascertained by EC?
We have heard Asiedu Nketia say, the register is bloated, it is compromised and it must be audited and cleaned? If Asiedu Nketia admits the register is bloated, it is compromised how then would he advocate it is audited and cleaned if the evidence presented is falsified?

Bawumia has consulted and possibly retained a friend to defend him in this very sticky situation, which is a good thing but not sure how they can crack this one if it goes to court. He (Bawumia) honestly deceived Ghanaians in both situations - the pink sheet trial in the supreme court and lately, the Togolese voters registration.

In the end, the court will slap him on the wrist simply because of his stature as a PhD holder. Ghanaians adore foreign trained professionals. All the lies and dishonesty will be classified as white lies and not worth a day in court and for that matter, a judges time to preside over such a case.

He simply lied to Ghanaians without thinking of the consequences or watching his back. He is slowly tarnishing the little reputation he has, if any at all, by walking this slippery slope at the blind side of his NPP ambitions.

I personally do not think the NPP has legitimate proof of ownership of a copy of the Togolese voters register. I will call the bluff on this one and stand to be corrected if they eventually present a legitimate copy.

1. In what capacity did Charlotte Osei write to Togo for their voter register? Could she give same to Togo/Ouaga/Ivory Coast?
2. Togo says it can't give and didn't give a copy to 3 party, but Togo did not say it is impossible for a third party to get a copy by whatever means.How can what Bawumeya presented be fake when there's no copy to compare it with - where is the original and the fake copies?
3. How come Charlotte Osei is asking Togo for voter register when, her own Commission will not give yes or no answer on status of a registered voter, e.g. Dr. Ezenator Rawlings? Charlotte Osei and NDC are criminals are should be arrested, not Bawumeya
