A bit about the Bawku machomen:
To qualify for enlistment, you must be at least 6 feet tall and the beard must be longer than your stretched palm. They take an olonka full of koko and 24 koose and maasa every one. Lunch is a kilo of waakye and half a guinea fowl. For dinner they take a kilo of TZ and half a guinea fowl. And in between the meals they drink gallons of fura water.
For exercise they spend the day tearing down the branches of trees and uprooting the roots with their bare hands. They also break cement blocks with their bare hands etc.
NPP should not be allowed to think that they have monopoly over violence. In fact, it is that NDC is able to control their youth and I think that is a bad mistake. If the Togo register was over-bloated with foreigners, where were these from? Ghana? So the Togolese register can be bloated by Ghanaians! Wonders would never end. For those who don't know the History of Volta Region and Trans Volta Togoland, or German Togo here is some free education. The area stretching from Ho, Hohoe, through Kete Krachi, Kpandai, Yendi to Bawku, and some Mamprusi towns,these areas were part and parcel of Togo until 1945, when the UN ceded it to become part of the then Gold Coast after the defeat of the Germans in World War 11. I don't know where the ancestors of DR Bawumia belonged! Togo was not as small as it is now. Over time some accepted through the plebiscite of 1956 to become Ghanaians, others were not so sure, a big chunk still remained part of the trump Togo. All these people decide to choose which country to vote in as they wish, because their lands have been stolen. Maybe self determination, the UN may have to return the lands back to Togo and let Ghanaians and especially NPP stop calling them aliens. How do you call someone an alien when you are standing on stolen land?

Allegedly an al-Qaeda agent, Hassan Ghul born Mustafa Hajji Muhammad Khan,[1] was also identified as a member of Ansar al-Islam.[2] His nationality was reported as Saudi Arabian,[3] Yemeni,[4][5] Pakistani[5][6] or Egyptian.[7][8] His testimony was a critical factor in identifying the secret location of Osama Bin Laden in Abbottabad.
Captured by Kurdish anti terror and turned over to American forces in 2004, Ghul was stated to have been as lowly as a "courier" who ran packages and delivered letters for al-Qaeda members. Ghul held such high ranks as "top lieutenant", "second-in-command" or "trusted emissary" of everyone from Abu Musab al-Zarqawi to Osama bin Laden to Khalid Sheikh Mohammed.
He was held at a CIA black site for two years, before being turned over to a Pakistani prison system.[9] It was during this time of detainment by the CIA in early 2004, but before he was subjected to "enhanced interrogation" techniques, that Ghul listed al-Kuwaiti as a close associate of bin Laden.[10] CIA records show that Ghul was not the first source of the name "al-Kuwaiti," which was also provided in 2002 by another detainee, Abu Zubair al-Ha'ili, who was being held by a foreign government.[11] Intelligence agents intercepted a satellite phone call [12] made by Osama bin Laden's bodyguard in 2010 which led to the surveillance of a courier that in turn led intelligence operatives to Osama bin Laden's compound.[13]
Ghul was killed by a CIA drone strike in North Waziristan in October 2012.[14]
Ghul was first mentioned in the 9/11 Commission, where he was stated to have led three people, including Mushabib al-Hamlan, to a waypoint controlled by Abu Zubaydah.[15]
He was captured on January 23, 2004[16] by Kurdish anti terror, possibly associated with the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan,[17] at a checkpoint near Kalar, at the Iranian border after police sent a fax to American CIA officials to confirm his photograph. There are contradicting claims that he was caught entering Iraq to bring al-Zarqawi money and bomb schematics[18] or that he was caught leaving Iraq bringing al-Zarqawi's progress report on successful suicide bombings into Iran.[7]
Ghul was carrying a USB flash drive and two CDs, one allegedly including a 17-page progress report believed to have been written by al-Zarqawi, claiming responsibility for suicide attacks in Iraq. US Intelligence officials have contradicted the accepted story, stating that the progress report was instead found in an abandoned safehouse in Baghdad.[19][20] In addition, the US military provided the media with "photocopies of the original handwritten Arabic letter" which were then translated, muddying the claim that it had been a computer document.[21] A notebook in his satchel also revealed a number of names and phone numbers of suspected associates.[22]
Kurdish forces immediately turned Ghul over to the American military, and he was interrogated while still in the country.[19][23] Although he may have been cooperative with the military interrogation, his questioning revealed little.[24]

The composition of the EC is bad and we must follow that of Togo and leave this decision to stakeholders. I don't seem to understand why the government is against a new voter's register. It is not as if NPP which is not in power as we know it in Ghana has any influence or control over registering people. If anything at all, it is to the advantage of NDC. It is just that, this time around, it will not be easy to falsify the register.
