Proof: Recent attacks on the personally, and ruthless efforts by Asiedu Nketia and his communication dogs to dent the hard won reputation of Dr. Bawumia is a clear attestation to my propose theory. It is no secret that the long standing popularity of the NDC among Muslims has been brutally bruised by Alhaji Bawumia, an ardent Muslims who is loved by all - Muslims, Christians and in fact every sensible and reasonable Ghanaian.

This is the apprehension of the NDC, and they know if they don't do anything about it 2016 will be one touch for the NPP.

So by secretly bypassing parliament and ' niccodemusly' NEGOTIATED to bring these two Alqaida trained militants to Ghana what they want to print in the mind of the gullible Muslim is that if the whole world reject these two Islamic soldiers ( who have vowed to defend the course of Islam ) they the NDC will never despise them. It is no wonder that Sam George was heard on KABA SHOW on Asempa FM yesterday, telling Ghanaians that the NPP hate Muslims and that is the more reason why they are making noise the Gitmo saga.
That God that this thinking has backfired in the faces of those who did this abominable. Most of the Muslims who they are trying to appease are more discerning than ever; they have seen their tricks and have summarily rejected this ungodly act.

Bringing the matter before the August house for approval is what all have chastised Hanna Tetteh cum the NDC administration for not doing exactly so before agreeing to such a baggage from the US.

In fact, the secrecy to this transfer only strengthen the argument of those who believed that the IMF capping on government spending this election year could be the desperate reason behind the latter readily agreeing to such a deal that may probably bring in the necessary resource needed for the NDC's campaign prior to the elections without bothering themselves too much with the so-called IMF restriction since there would be availability of cash from a different source to furnish the campaign without a sweat?

It's just a matter of time before someone comes spinning on this assumption I have raised. A point I put blank to them, to at least, consider for a possible spin-off yet to come this election year. So, my friend, I vividly know what's at stake with this deal since I have strongly condemned it honestly as I could. However, what I hate is people coming out to make political capital out of the obvious and unfortunate situation before the citizenry.

The NDC, indeed "screwed up" on this one big time and has to tell Ghanaians the whole story and nothing but the whole story before the spinning, which is already showing its characteristics in bit and pieces becomes mainstream at address du la Kukurudu.

The American-style Constitution is what the stiff-neck JJ Rawlings gave us in 1992 minus the checks and balances inherent in the American Constitution. For instance, in the American Constitution the US senate holds the power of the purse, i.e., the US Senate controls the Treasury, and this provides the checks and balances in the Constitution. The US President (the Executive) has to go the Senate for its budgetary needs, i.e., to fund its program. That means, the Senate has to approve and fund the President's programs, and if the Presidency does not tow the line the Senate can withhold funding from the Presidency and paralyze all of the Presidency's initiatives, especially where Republicans have the majority in a Democrats' government. Likewise, the American Constitution confers power of executive appointments to the Presidency (the Executive). The Presidency can appoint executive from both Congress and the Senate, and those who are rubble-rousers may never get juicy political appointment in the governing party.

What the stiff-neck JJ Rawlings did in the 1992 Constitution was that he vested both the power of the purse, in Ghana it is the Consolidated Account, and the power of executive appointments in the Presidency (the Executive), leaving Ghana Parliament no power at all. Our peoples representatives (Parliament) thus have now become a mere rubber stamp of the edict of the Presidency (the Executive).

The seriousness of our situation is that, when you have criminals and incompetent people like Mahama and JA Kufuor and even Rawlings in the Presidency, there is nothing Parliament can do to restrain their profligacy. Rawlings sold off all of Dr. Nkrumah's state-owned enterprises in the 1990s - over 300 of them totaling more than a billion cedis, yet when he lost the election in 2000 the Consolidated Account was empty. The in-coming NPP government complained that the Consolidated Account was empty - go figure. In the same vein, JA Kufuor sat in his office and negotiated Ghana Telecom, Ghana Airways and Ashanti Goldfields Ltd., deals and sent them to NPP majority in Parliament for approval. JJ Rawlings and JA Kufuor did what they did because the Rawlings-designed constitution gives them power to do it without Parliamentary oversight.

Now let me draw your attention to Mahama and AMERI GROUP deal and the Gitmo saga. This is what I call incompetence and duplicitous leadership. Our Parliament had no clue what Mahama was doing and who should blame him? the 1992 Constitution gives him the power to do it.

What we need is the British Westminister-style constitution where power is fully vested in Parliament. In the Westminister Constitution, a bi-partisan committee would review the American request to transfer the Gitmo convicts into the country, and send its recommendation to Parliament for approval - the matter will be debated on the floor and a vote will follow. This is how democracies around the world do things, but our Kangaroo democracy is different. We want a democracy where absolute power is vested in the peoples representatives, period!

2 . what security measures has been put in place.
