Does a new register eliminate minors, foreigners, etc from registering again?

This insistance on a new register is a dishonest claim because at no point has the parties advocating for a new register outlined a plan, process, procedure to stop minors, foreigners etc from registering again should the EC agree to their demand. All well meaning Ghanaians should demand a satisfactory answer to these questions before any such exercise is undertaken.

Someone from the NPP suggested that primary school registration should be used to identify minors, what happens to Ghanaians who have never set foot in a classroom? It is dishonest on the part of all those agitation and trying to hoodwink the EC to compile a new register if the question of preventing minors and foreigners from registering is not answered conclusively.

There are processes in place that has been set up with the participation of all the political parties to identify and eliminate minors, foreigners, etc from the exiting register. Why is the NPP and its surrogates bypassing this processes to demand for the compilation of a new register? What is the use of compiling a new register if it is just a process of providing parties with an opportunity to further bloat the register, it has heappened before, refer to Prof. Mill's complaints with the numbers in the Ashanti Region when a similar exercise was conducted.

If you care about the peace in Ghana demand specific answers from the NPP and all those demanding the compilation of a new register to answere the question posed above without equivocation that will ensure that ALL GHANAIANS are giving the chance to register and vote?

EC has also made it clear point by point to discredit the NPP's evidence.All the 76000 individuals on our biometric voters' register are fully Ghanaians from the Volta region and registered properly in 2012.NPP has no evidence which shows that these 76000 individuals are not Ghanaians.Furthermore,Togo EC has refused to give Ghana EC a copy of their voters' register which is even not biometric with fingerprints like ours.In the nutshell,NPP presented a very weak petition like they did in the Supreme Court after the 2012 general elections.By the way,if they think they are right,why can't they go to go court again and stop this negative campaign of despair?Thank you.

I guess the EC is in a dilemma as to whether to publish the report or not.I figure the Committee might have concluded that Togo's voters register presented to the EC to back their demand or request for a new/fresh voters register is incredible hence its objection to the idea of compiling a new voters register.And now that NPP has been vindicated by the affirmation or confirmation by Togo's Opposition member,the EC is now in a fix as to what to publish.Because now it looks like the job done by the five-member Committee with its subsequent findings/conclusion or outcome has been rendered useless.So what will be the basis for the publication of such a report.Maybe the Committee is right now in consultation,considering whether to rewrite a fresh report.I don't see what the EC or the nation stands to loose if it decides to compile a new register instead of having this headache(EC);a new register,which its good or advantage will not in any way inure to just a particular or single party.And what at all has become the behaviour of the EC chairperson as if someone is fighting her over this new register issue which has tendered to madden her to such a point to receive the kind of responses and retorts lately?

Indeed, there is nary any ambiguity about the construct of the report of the 5-member panel, tasked to look into the merits or demerits of the need for a new voters register.
The EC Chair must thus take the needed, guided and immediate steps to bring into actualization the newly compiled, credible and clean voters register for the 2016 elections as per the demands of every Ghanaian vested with seeing a peaceful and stable Ghana.

If that 76000 is error, the margin of error is around 0.014%
Statistically, this is close to perfection. The npp is really showing that they have nothing different to offer ghanaians. They are only thinking about how to come to power, but they are not addressing the plights of the people who will vote them into power. This is very pathetic. The npp is pissing electorates off. The appear very short sighted. After the 2012 election, you could have pushed for a new register if you believed you lost the election because the register was bloated. You sat there till it few months to election then you'll come to tell us the register is bloated. What were you doing all these while? Sleeping? Shayy!! A leader of vision should have seen this long ago. And if you fail to see this, then you are a purr blind. Dr. Bawumia is always quoting figures, are we going to eat the figures? Getup and tell ghanaians what you have to offer us. Stop that lazy politics Sir. If we are to collect a new register right now, and the 76000 that you claim are from Togo come to register with that same voter Id card, will you refuse to register them? Hell no!!
