Why the urgency on such an important matter if it isn't to avoid detailed parliamentary scrutiny? Similarly the Ameri deal was rushed through. We can assume dishonest business when thus govt rushes things through parliament.

Our constituents have been deliberately reduced to paupers so they can rely heavily on government for everything. There is not urgency about this bill and I am sorry to agree with commentators that our Parliament is simply an appendage of the Executive branch and a robber stamp. We might as well dissolve Parliament and have the Executive rule by decree.

Avedzi, Klutse James makes a very serious mockery of governance when he begins to explain away the crassness and irresponsibility of the Executive that has attended their governance since 2009, and in this particular instance, the pricing of petroleum products, which have all conspired to bury Ghana in the ditch, as a result of this scale of irresponsibility and recklessness.
Can Avedzi, Kluste James tell Ghanaians if he saw that formula he requested for the pricing of fuel products before railroading that bill under a certificate of urgency? And by the way, what was the urgency?
Clearly, as the stick moves beyond the 90th percentile on the meter of uselessness of the Mahama-led NDC administration, there is a direct proportional increase of it's totally useless majority held parliament, leading to disastrous consequences all around for this country.
This is not a party and gov't that knows what it is about and can be serious.
Avedzi, James Klutse cannot claim to be benighted about the world acclaimed lack of integrity, the lack of honesty and the lack of credibility of his gov't to make such a fantastically sarcastic statement and I quote "we believe Terkper won't deceive parliament" the headline of this article. Heck, this is a character of their party and their Mahama-led NDC gov't, who was caught cooking and conjuring figures from the skies as they sought a recent bailout from the IMF.
It is the debauchery of these two completely useless arms of gov't, that have served to collapse this country and Ghana must resolve to make sure, there is seriousness in our governance process by massively firing the Mahama-led NDC administration and it's parliamentary majority at the ballot box in November.
There must be seriousness in this country. There needs to be seriousness in this country and not this wantonness of irresponsibility and recklessness.
