In a few years time when these Al Qaida transplants are done in brainwashing our impressionable Muslim youth - and that is a natural osmosis that is going to happen as a result of "integrating" these thoroughbred ISIS and Al Qaida foot soldiers in Ghana - the same America is going to turn around and label us as state sponsors and harbourers of terror. That will be the legacy that this idiotic short-sighted John Dramani Mahama will have left us.

Isn't it ironic that back in 2007, the NDC and rented mouths like Kwesi Ratt rose up and vehemently opposed President Kuffour and went to town on Ghana being approached by the Americans over the possibility of head quartering their African Central Command in Ghana, the same base that went to Djibouti and which would have given us some spinoff much needed jobs and infrastructure. And rightly so, we opposed the American base. But to think we rejected that and are now accepting tortured American Gitmo terrorists, what does it make us out to look? Plain stupid I dare say. I have wondered about how even Obama approached John Mahama in accepting their hardcore terrorists. Help me out.

So Obama called Mahama and this is how the conversation must have went:

BO: Hello John, Barack over here. How is the weather over there, I can't tell you how cold this place is?

JM: Hello Your Excellency, You know, Ghana is a tropical paradise. You can always come down for holidays after your presidency. Just some few mosquitos but we can get pass that. Many American tourists come for holidays here. You know our hospitality is known around the world.

BO: That is what I am talking about, Michel and I enjoyed our last visit. John, I need a favour from you, are you alone in the office now?

JM: Oh okay, I will send my secretary away. You know when the big boss calls, it has to be very important. I am anxious to hear it. You know me, it would be a great honour and pleasure to help you.

BO: Nice to hear that Mr. President. You know both of us have Moslem last names but we don't act like one?

JM: Right, right.

BO: I have some bad asses here - you know some Gitmo prisoners that I need to offload, so that I would look good on some promises I made at the beginning of my presidency.

JM: Uhuh!

BO: I am wondering if you can help me with two of them? They have been there for 14 years, real hard core Al Qaida Islamists, who after 14years, we can't send back to their home countries for fear of them rejoining the war. Trust me they are bad, but not so so bad. Look at it this way, you would be helping a brother to look good.

JM: But, but....

BO: But but nothing. Do you know every year Ghana sends more than 5000 of its citizens through the visa lottery, plus a lot more undocumented ones to the US? Plus all the aid money we give to support your budget?

JM: I guess we have no choice when you put it that way?

BO: That is what I am talking about......thanks John. Those guys will be coming early January 2016.

JM: Wait, wait a minute, I am still trying to wrap my mind around this....

BO: John I have to go. Thank you in advance for your kind gesture

Corruption, incompetence, mismanagement and propagandist rule has its price. You would be picked up for cheap, which is what we are now seeing. Can you ever imagine Ghana asking the same favour in reverse to the USA, i.e. we also horse trading our hard core criminals and terrorists to the USA? Your guess is as good as mine.

We have to ask ourselves very serious questions. Have we become so lame, as a result of self-inflicted bad governance and corruption, we are now a walkover? We pay the highest interest rate to sovereign bonds in all of Africa, neighbouring countries send their citizens to freeload on our health insurance and the NDC gov't looks sideways so that they can vote for them, government ministers conspire with contractors to over invoice projects; we cannot even collect court ordered money from Woyome, etc.

Whilst this Guantanamo prisoners are here, will they be able to mingle with local Muslims, go to mosques and pray freely, acquaint and befriend pliable Muslim youth (don't forget some have already left to join ISIS), and have access to the internet? What is there to stop them from collecting the email addresses and cellphone numbers of the kids and passing them on to link up with the real bad guys in the Middle East? I tell you, we have been had for cheap and stupid. John Mahama is just not street smart. These people hate Christians period. So how is dummy Mahama going to integrate them into our community when they are avowed enemies of our Christian values? There are about 22 Arabic speaking countries in the Arab League and 50 Muslim majority countries in the world. So why not over there in anyone of those countries where they will be more at home organically? Why Ghana of all places?

America gives about $5 billion dollars free grants to Egypt and $10billion dollars free money to Israel every single year. Whatever they give us is nothing compared to what USA gives to Egypt alone every year. So why in the world would John Mahama think he has to bend so backwards to kiss Barack Obama's ass? Something tells me we have a spineless jackass for a president. He in all probability cared for looking friendly to Obama than caring for our national security. He perhaps thought he can squeeze some dollars out of the stipends the Americans will give for the upkeep of the two terrorists.

The CNN Report clearly states the deal was brokered in 2007.Does that mean Prez Kuffour was in on this prior to the end of his term?
Didn't Kuffour's Term end in 2008?

I may be wrong but regardless of which of our leaders agreed to this,this to me,is A BREACH OF OUR NATIONAL SECURITY and WE MUST ALL STAND UP AGAINST THIS.

First of all these 2 DANGEROUS PRISONERS are not from Ghana..were not born in Ghana...and have no birth-ties with Ghana:

As for the 2 detainees currently in Ghana,Ghanaians must demand they be sent back to the White House Basement to finish the rest of their prison term.

The Government has relinquished Ghanaians for long but in such situations we must stand up and fight for our right. That the true spirit of democracy enshrined in our constitution. Surprisingly, the Congress of America recently passed a law which bans any detainee from stayin in America. If America with the sophiscated technology and security will not keep detainees in the territory for reasons known to them what then can Ghana do. We must actually speak against such move by the Government of International. I hear it will brighten the image of Ghana on the international front, thats not bad but the priorities of Ghana is not currrently to on that. Our priority is dealing with the energy crises and improving the socio-economic lives and development of the ordinary Ghanaians. I dont really know if such a move of transfering the Gitmo detainees to Ghana will reduce or lessen our problems. I am optimistic that no parents in this world will let the daughter to bring a notorious armed robber to terrorist home as a boyfriend. Why then will Ghana entertain such move when the world developed nation of America cannot keep Gitmo detainees. From the analysis of FoxNew, Ghana has been promised something and i definitely agree with that but i would be more proper if it was reported that the government has been promised something rather than Ghana. The question then comes, what at all were they promised at the expense of peace.

The only solution is critical second look at the president'so power. I there is the need for constitutional ammendment to stripe the president of such powers to unilateral make such critical decisions. I believe the making of such decisions should be the prerogative of parliament and should go to a referendum if possible. That way we'll avoid a repetition of this case on point.

It is on record that the Islamic terrorist problem in both Somalia and Nigeria, among other countries is their acceptance into their communities of alleged terrorist which the west alleged that they do not have anything against, but can not grant them citizenship. There are various reasons why the west pretend that they can not keep the people they arrest for terrorist acts, but decide to send them to other countries.
The bahaviour of our president and his security advisers are like that of students who are yet to receive their lessons, meanwhile they have graduated. One of those terrorists who the west claims that they did not find any advise findings against was used to overthrow Mumur Ghaddafi in Libya and is currently one of those in charge of the Tripoli sector in that country.
