The silence of Nana on the matter of these gitmo ex cons is a confirmation that both he and Mahama have capitulated in the face of a greater force and i suspect the super power USA. Like it or not America has waded into our conflict and you will now see a structural transition of power to the NPP . Notice all of a sudden the dumsor is no issue , corrupt ministers resigning over trivialities without a fight ,etc. NDC has denied us our cutlass revolution and opted 9 months before the election a peaceful transition of power, my advice to you folks is to forget about politics and concentrate on rebuilding our country , heal the wounds and create unity as there is nothing we can do in the face of this meddling superpower. Indiscreet and insensitive statements like this by a person who has been appointed to head the EC by a govt whose stay in power was largely determined by either the dishonesty or incompetence of Afari-Gyan, now confirms to all of us that the woman is not impartial.

So far everything that has come out of her mouth over the past few days, shows that she has been put into that position to do a hatchet job for the NDC.

At the very least, even if she is not partisan, this woman is not mature enough to hold such a sensitive public position. She should know that the subject of Afari-Djan raise strong emotions in the public domain and for her to overlook those concerns and to go ahead and publicly praise him simply means that she is either looking for trouble or she is not sensible enough to know what she is doing or where she is at.

I do not hold any political sympathies for the NPP but looking at current developments, I have a deep worry about the future of the country.

In the year 2000, USA embarked on a mission to get countries to sign the famous Bilateral Immunity Agreement(BIA) or the "Non-Surrender Agreement" mafia style ...."sign & get my protection ....!NANA ADDO was the Foreign Minister at the time. The verbal promises that came along that deal were very juicy and seemed to be of special interest to Nana Addo. On the surface the agreement said u can not handover American interest (prisoner, criminal etc) to the International Criminal Court (ICC), bring to the United States instead! John Mahama on the 30th October,2003 in Parliament spoke vehemently against the signing of this agreement sighting future repercussions just like we are faced with today on the terrorists issue. Hon. Alban S.K Bagbin led minority were "defeated" by the NPP and the agreement was signed in 2003 with Hackman Owusu pending his signature for Ghana. Today the USA has used clauses in that same agreement to TRANSFER their prisoners to us and we are here blaming innocent John Mahama. One major concern John Mahama raised on the floor of parliament at the time was the fact that the agreement had no termination clause meaning you sign it for life!!! Today the Ghanaian will wake from sleep to the reality that he has a "reformed" terrorist leaving next door. Nana Addo Danquah had his Cocaine season alright but left us with an agreement that gives the USA the right to establish Guantanamo Annex in Ghana. Please Publish this and let Nana Addo and his NPP give a rebuttal or challenge the writer openly. NDC will use this to win the 2016 election. Nana's past is hunting him now. This is the TRUTH.
