Mahama(a Gonja) is following the prescriptions of OIC.You remember an MP from Gonjaland declared that adulterous women should be stoned to death. Again Boko Haram in Akyem terrorized Muslim women for buying food from Christians yet the then IGP(a Muslim) kept mute. Muslims burnt down a Christian mission house in Atebubu yet the IGP was again silent. AMA banning churches in classrooms, Northern Regional Minister accusing the Christian clergy of encouraging politicians to be corrupt. These are all plans aimed at suppressing Christianity to please the OIC. These are all indicators that Mahama is feverishly handing over Ghana to the Organisation of Islamic Conference for Money. We should remember Islam is useless without direct state support and so Mahama is providing that support to Muslims to grow in Ghana whilst at the same time suppressing Christians. He is doing this because Islam as a religion is useless without direct political/government intervention.

Indiscreet and insensitive statements like this by a person who has been appointed to head the EC by a govt whose stay in power was largely determined by either the dishonesty or incompetence of Afari-Gyan, now confirms to all of us that the woman is not impartial.

So far everything that has come out of her mouth over the past few days, shows that she has been put into that position to do a hatchet job for the NDC.

At the very least, even if she is not partisan, this woman is not mature enough to hold such a sensitive public position. She should know that the subject of Afari-Djan raise strong emotions in the public domain and for her to overlook those concerns and to go ahead and publicly praise him simply means that she is either looking for trouble or she is not sensible enough to know what she is doing or where she is at.

I do not hold any political sympathies for the NPP but looking at current developments, I have a deep worry about the future of the country.

Such a passage hardly inculcates a spirit of free inquiry and intellectual curiosity. And this is the wave of the future: since the Western government and media elites are now dedicated to avoiding offending Muslims at all costs, and even asking theological questions can offend Muslims, we all just must accept the dictates of our new overlords without question. Wan Sulaiman Wan Ismail should have known better.

KUALA LUMPUR, May 29 — “I bear witness that there is no god but Allah,” is the first part of the shahadah, a declaration of faith for Muslims, which has its origins in a verse in the Quran.
“I bear witness that Muhammad is the messenger of God,” is the second part, but unlike the first, it does not appear in any of the holy scriptures.
So, where did it come from?
This was the question on the mind of Wan Sulaiman Wan Ismail, 53, when he sought clarification in 2013 from religious teachers on the origin of a practice considered as one of the key pillars of Islam.
The former businessman from Perak said he raised that question to several religious teachers, including scholars in the Ipoh mufti office, the Perak religious authorities and even state mosque imams. Many of these clerics, he said, were familiar with him as he met with them regularly for the past 15 years.
None, however, were able to answer him, so Wan Sulaiman stopped asking a year later.
But for seeking answers, Wan Sulaiman earned the attention of the Perak Islamic Religious Department (JAIP). He was summoned several times in 2014 by the authority, whose officers he claimed tried to dissuade him from posing his questions and to convince him to abandon several Quranic practices he has adopted.
The matter came to a head on January 21 this year when state religious enforcers raided his home in Ipoh and confiscated his handwritten personal notes, in addition to screening his personal computer and mobile phone.
On the same day, Wan Sulaiman was charged in the Ipoh Shariah High Court under Section 15 of the Perak Shariah Criminal Enactment 1992, with “mocking, ridiculing or insulting Quranic or hadith texts”.
According to a copy of his charge sheet sighted by Malay Mail Online, the Perak religious enforcers claimed that Wan Sulaiman possessed notes, some of which were hung on his wall, that allegedly “ridicule” the hadith — the collections of Prophet Muhammad’s sayings and deeds.
Wan Sulaiman, however, insisted that the notes were meant only for his personal use.
The prosecution also accused him of disputing authentic hadith for failing to interpret the Quran, and of rejecting the shahadah as taught by Muhammad by allegedly only accepting the first part.
He was also accused of translating the terms “fajar prayers” and “wusto prayers” by “using his own intellect without referring to the Prophet’s hadith”.
His case was set to be heard on May 21, but it was postponed to July 2. If guilty, Wan Sulaiman can be fined not more than RM5,000, jailed not more than three years, or both….

We are witnessing a national embarrassment. In John Mahama we find an individual whose natural bend is always to shade the truth or sex up lies. John Mahama is just disgraceful, the diplomatic community must be laughing behind him. Why is he so afraid of the truth? What was it like raising John Mahama that has resulted in him having this innate fear of the truth, to the extent that his words are now always being contradicted or "corrected" by even the diplomatic community? No wonder the title of his one and only mediocre book is "My First Coup d'état" when he has never conducted a coup. Waa look at what is unfolding, your government says America is bearing all costs, the Americans come to say it is a shared cost. Who are we to believe, the lying dead goat or the US?

So far this ever lying NDC government has been telling us that the two Gitmo detainees are just going to chill in Ghana for two years after which they will leave the country. Can somebody out there ask scumbags what happens after two years if those gitmos refuse to leave? How can you "integrate them in the Ghanaian community ", which should be interpreted to mean they are going to be allowed to sow roots, and then ask them to leave. We haven't be told what has to happen in two years that would require them to leave. All I can tell is, this useless government will rather provide them with Ghanaian citizenship and allow them to stay permanently and then come to tell us that the two have been fully rehabilitated and integrated.

The National Chief Imam has, by his very unpalatable support for the Guantanamo prisoners to be settled in Ghana, erased a whole life-time of meritorious service to the Moslem community and to the nation at large. Until now, all levels of Ghanaian society had great respect for him. Now I feel really sad for him and to the Moslem community as well.

The silence of Nana on the matter of these gitmo ex cons is a confirmation that both he and Mahama have capitulated in the face of a greater force and i suspect the super power USA. Like it or not America has waded into our conflict and you will now see a structural transition of power to the NPP . The fallout from the Guantanamo Bay Detention camp bombshell that hit the dazed people of Ghana a couple of weeks ago, suggests that many of our citizens are not only worried about the security risks that threaten our long-held traditional mien of a peaceful genial people but also that the worrying emergence of the fact that, that institution which we like to refer to as our govt, actually responds to and takes instructions from another entity - an 'eminence grise' that is far removed from our socio-economic dynamics.

As it turns out, not even the most senior Ministers of state were or are aware of the details that led to the imposition of this most unfortunate decision upon Ghanaians.

The frightening possibility is becoming more and more plausible that either our President was blackmailed into succumbing to this very un-Ghanaian and humiliating position or, as many people would be inclined to think, he was bribed into accepting this despicable offer of hosting known Jihadists who had been incarcerated without charge or trial for 14 years by the colossal US govt who had itself had clearly stated that it did not want on their territory.

Since the detainees (they are not ex-detainees) obviously did not have a choice in their being dumped into Ghana - a country which has a housing deficit of over 2 million and an unemployment rate which hovers perilously around 60%, we can safely deduce that this decision was signed, sealed and delivered by the US govt to designate the banana 'Republic of Ghana' as an extension of its Guantanamo Bay Detention Camp facilities. In short, Ghana is now simply a sub-dept of that Detention camp.

This morning I heard on Citi fm radio, an interview with an official of the US Embassy - Daniel Fennel(?) who, after some prodding by the interviewer, emphatically pronounced in a typically arrogant fashion that there was no way that the two detainees would be returned to alleviate the fears of Ghanaians. He also pointed to the fact that some 'respected' public figures in Ghana were also actually in favour of this as it were, the reduction of the state of Ghana into a mere Detention Camp of another country.

The ensuing developments curiously reminds me of how European criminals and murders were dumped into other foreign lands a couple of centuries ago and the dire after-effects it has created for the original natives of those lands. This secondary thought has instilled greater fear into me as I am now not too sure what these Americans are really up to in Ghana on the long-term basis.

The President of the US, Barrack Obama visited this country early during his tenure and publicly stated that "Africa does not need strong leaders" and that "what Africa needed was strong institutions". Not surprisingly, this spectacular philosophical turn-around that led to the cornering of a shamefully weak President of Ghana and twisted his arms in one way or the other to succumb to this catastrophic calamity which is deplorable in all senses respects, adds more drama to the unfolding tragedy.

Secondly how can Mahama say No, to the US when our leaders have no sense of generating funds from within, we have to go out to beg for money for everything we want to do. Why won't those who provide for you manipulate you in ways that serve their own interest? We look more like a colony than an independent and sovereign state. In recent times however, everything that America touches is reduced to ashes. They show no regard to the sensitivities of other people and have applied school-playground bullying tactics as their foreign policy.

I mean if these Guantanamo graduates are not welcomed in America, the country that detained them for all these years, why do they think that other countries who have nothing at all to do with their problems, should be forced to keep them?

If this isn't the epitome of gross negligence and incompetence then I don't know what is! One of two things has to happen - either return them back to shipper or you, Hannah Tetteh resigns. No amount of political dillydallying is going to cut it. You have put the security of the Ghanaian people at risk with very grave consequences. This is so grave that even if this decision is reversed, we will still be at risk just by association. As if all of this isn't enough she then goes on to try and sow divisions in our otherwise peaceful religious coexistence! This woman must go now. She's just too dangerously incompetent.

I fucking love and respect myself and I take pride in it. Recently, I applied to work as Accountant in the US Airforce and this white pig recruiter told me he can only give me a ''pest management'' job which means taking care of snakes, and insects. I told him that is not what I applied for, but he tried to convince me to take that job. I told him that NOOO I don't want that job AND I WAS READY TO WALK AWAY if I don't get what I wanted. I stopped calling him because I knew he wanted to give me the pest job just because I'm an African. I know many ghanaians here who do shitty jobs in the US military. Guess what after 2 weeks he called me and said he has got me the job I wanted 'financial accountant manager' in the US Airforce. I'm not even a US citizen,just a high school graduate. I'm swearing in today and I will be in their office as I want. Always stand up for what you want, esp with these white people because they will always test you to see what you are made up of. If they don't give you what you want, WALK AWAY and look for other options.After giving me what I want, my recruiter keep telling me that I'm the best client he has ever worked with and I will be a great person in future and bbla bla bla. I am exonerated!.(I have not said academic degree is not needed). At least the US informed Ghana gov't that the Suspected terrorists were from Gimo Bay,right! That they were detained for 14 years,and later Cleared of any wrong doing,etc.Therefore, for Hannah Tetteh to say the US did not provided them with full details is a Sad immature statement or excuse without merit,to say the least. The US did nothing wrong,in my personal opinion.Having made you aware the persons were from Gimo was enough for the Ghana Team, in the year long negotiations to Form their own opinions or doubts based on the singular idea of Gimo, to armed themselves with pertinent questions for the US to open up to throw more light on the picture, until all questions were answered to your satisfaction (on the football field,a Coach should have a plan/strategy to open up the game,if he has experience).
