The reaction of the chief imam and his spokesman also confirms that Islam and Muslims have no loyalty to the interests of the majority or the people of Ghana so we need to do everything to separate ourselves or ban Islam. Why is it that common sense does not factor in the equation and they rejoice at the reception of these terrorists . Is it because they now have the direct links to start undermining even more the society? They add insult to injury and claim we are xenophobic but refuse to recognize the fact that we would react in the same way when the USA chooses to start exporting their other criminals like pedophiles , mafia cosa nostra or simple psychopath murderers. If we were calm in receiving their criminals then that would be cause for worry so they should all shut the fuck up.
The silence of Nana on the matter of these gitmo ex cons is a confirmation that both he and Mahama have capitulated in the face of a greater force and i suspect the super power USA. Like it or not America has waded into our conflict and you will now see a structural transition of power to the NPP . ITS NOT OVER YET. Frenzied activities are ongoing to make sure the pepeni/ayigbe alliance of evil does not leave in peace so go back to your preparations of defending yourselves when war starts . Do not be massacred like chickens as our brothers in Libya were because they refused to read the signs of the times .We witness the activities of these extremist criminals in Burkina Faso and realize we must have these 2 executed before its too late. He Kuffour and his NPP turned the 3 regions in the northern Ghana as into one region and picked a few ministers from there. Almost all the overwhelming majority of Kuffours government were Ashantis and Akyem and even till today they are those that can only occupy the high offices of NPP. That is NPP for you. Check your facts, there is no region in Ghana that has no minister in Mahama government, if the minister is from eastern region it does not mean he must be an Akyem at all cost, the tribes there are all human. check and see even in Mahama's tribe how many gonjas can be found in his government, just one as northern regional minister.

Frankly, I don't see anything wrong with an opposition highlighting the failings of an incapable government in order to wrest power from it democratically. Mahama and his NDC administration are responsible for the strikes because of the massive corruption, over spending, reckless borrowing and overall economic mismanagement that have characterized the regime and brought untold hardship on Ghanaians. NDC could not frivolously spend $5bn of public money outside the budget in 2012 to buy the conscience of gullible voters, and expect everything to be normal in the subsequent years without any difficulties in our fragile economy. In fact, these are some of the main reasons why Ghanaians are wallowing in hunger and are being overtaxed.

Look at Ashates, they strategize politically and have thier people in all parties that matter including NDC so they develop. Akyem Abuakwa is monolitic politically just like Volta. For all thier support for NPP what do they have to show. When Kuffour came to power nothing was done. I recently visited home and travelled to Kibi, Abomosu through Kwaben, Asuom and the under development was depressing.

And so you have ministers from Uper east, Uper west and northern regions the tribe does not matter. Also you have minsters from Ashanti, Eastern and all the regions. This chief is trying to cause tribal sentiments and Ghana must be careful of such a chief. There are ministers from in Mahama government who from eastern region though they may not be from Akyem tribe but they are from eastern region. Kuffour used to combine all the three regions in the north and termed is as one then he will choose just a few ministers from there and making majority of his minister from Ashanti. John Mahama has only one minister from his own tribe and that is the northern regional minister, but Kuffour had many Ashantis including his brother as ministers and you hypocrites did not talk.

One might have the right ideas policies or plans but most Ghanaians are not interested as we're witnessing now.
I would have wished you called for capable dedicated visionary people to govern our country rather than only people from your tribe and it will be a wise and fair you retract that.

I think this is an unfortunate statement from one of the most respected chiefs in the country if only he is not being misquoted. Akyem State, unike Asante Kingdom is just a subset of Eastern Region which has several tribal states with their chiefs. These states have their paramouncies like the Akyem State. Besides, i presume, there is no constitutional obligation that Minority Akyem state should be allocated more political appointments at the expense of other more tribal states if not in the Eastern Region but in the country as a whole. Really, tribal politics wont bring peace and stability in the country. Im not defending the government but the statement coming from a respected learned chief is unfortinate. I dont think His Royal Highness Otumfour Asantehene, can even make such a divisive comment. Ghana is not a federal state. I think he has been misquoted.

Since the Okyehene has called on his people to come together under the Akyem umbrella and seek Akyem interest only, he surreptitiously telling his followers to rally around Akufo Addo and the NPP to undo Mahama and the NDC. That is where we have gotten to, people.

Before now, Another Akyem in the person of Osafo Marfo told NPP supports about why his tribe must be the one governing and controlling the resources of Ghana. Today, the bar has fallen even further. Today, an unemployed Akyem has become the gold standard by which Mahama and the NDC is measured. A sad day for Ghana. Really sad.

I hope the other chiefs in Ghana are watching what the Okyenhene has initiated, pure tribal politics in favour of his tribeman Akufo Addo to be president.
