  What the hell does this journalist mean by "0100 hours"? Even it the pure English-speaking Obroni countries such as Canada, US, UK, Australia and Newzealand, no ordinary person would understand "0100 hours".

  What the hell does this journalist mean by "0100 hours"? Even it the pure English-speaking Obroni countries such as Canada, US, UK, Australia and Newzealand, no ordinary person would understand "0100 hours".
  
  I have been living in Obroni-land for 49 years and can assure you that, in all the Obroni countries, we express time in 12-hour "a.m" and "p.m" cycles. We never ordinarily use the 24-hour cycle that you are trying to use. The 24-hour cycle is limited to the Navy, Air force, etc., for special trans-latitudinal communications only. Otherwice, it is the 12-hour "a.m" and "p.m" all the time.
  
  If you mean " 1:00 a.m., then say so. Or why can't you just say "about mid-night"? All human beings and animals want to be understood when they communicate. It is utterly ironical that many Ghanaian journalists think that they are good writers when they say something that their audiences cannot understand. Use the 12-hour a.m and p.m. cycle henceforth. Be wise!

Read the rest of the articles elsewhere, and you will find similar timing.Nothing wrong!
