The headmaster's actions epitomize the country's fears about gays and the desire to banish that sort of activity from the community. Sexual activity in any secondary school is prohibited no matter the sex of the school (i.e. all female, all male or male and female. So if the students were caught in the act of having sex, then they have breached the code of discipline of the school and that of the Ghana Education Service and which offence is punishable by summary dismissal. However, sight must not be lost of the fact that the sexual act in question here is sodomy which is an offence under Act 29 which the Criminal Code of Ghana. As such they can be prosecuted in a court of competent jurisdiction.
So my dear ignoramuses, forget about the fact that OWASS is a Catholic Christian school, A law in Ghana has been infringed and it is punishable and vacate your warped ideas about modernity.

The Headmaster took the right and necessary disciplinary action to ensure students conform to the school rules and code of conduct. If there is a concern or it is believed they were likely to persuade, encourage or force other students to engage in homosexual activities, then the school took the right action.

Regardless of the homosexual activity, they engaged in a sexual activity in a school environment which is a gross misconduct.

Where is the gender minister in all this. The parents should sue the school and the GES.What is most annoying is the fact that the headmaster sees this as a disease that will affect other students. He should be fired outright. Kids experience all kinds of sexual tendencies. They grow and decide later in their life who they want to be.This is nonsense.Or the headmaster favours students who will impregnate girls from other schools and ruin their whole carriers.
