I recommend the Christian and Islamic leaders to learn from the great Inter Faith Committee of Liberia and it's role in conflict management. They can contact Thomas JAYE at the Kofi Annan PKInstitute at Teshie or Prof Abubakar Al HASSAN formerly of the Univ of Ghana, Legon.

Shd be fair to all parties and not to hide behind so called voter education to campaign for your favorite candidates. Apply the Christian values religiously in order not to divide the church.

Most of the people who scheme, buy and sell votes, count votes, record votes, supervise election at micro-levels are invariably church goers or members or religious people in one way or the other.

The sad reality is that those capable of facilitating the harmful act of stealing of votes are active members of various denominations. And it's for such reasons that I welcome the move by the Council to embark on voter education.

Hopefully, we all change our hearts and commit ourselves to the truth at every point days leading to the voting day, on the crucial voting day itself and a few days after the voting day.

Chiefs, students etc who are prone to be lured and bribed by gifts of all colours from politicians should receive heavy doses of the voter education to the point where they would ask themselves if they are hurting the nation with such negative attitude so that the real winner is finally announced.

May Ghana see peace and regain its prosperity!

We see and hear on radio and other media Prominent members of the Christian Council openly making biase statement to criticise government. Titus 1:7-8 the Christain council now want to campaign along side with political parties and with whose resources, God's resources that members of the Church has donated or they would want to be financed by the political parties? this is unfortunate decision from the Christian Council. What has happened in Ghana over the last 5 years that this assembly of church hypocrites think there is a need for voter education? The one thing God has been good to us about is his showering of wisdom unto those who heed his words. Christian Council members have not yet been enlightened in God's wisdom because they would know that hypocrisy is a sin, liars are sinful and those who would use God name for personal gains are worse than those who do not or claim not to know God.

If the Christian Council members have been ministering unto their flock over the years there would have been residual wisdom at the very least to help members know who to vote for other than reason of tribal preferences.

You people may be leading people astray just because many in your churches don't anything so what you people say make sense to them, but you must know there are many in your churches too who knows much to be taken to be fools .
The usefullness of the church in africa now is to teach thier members about health and social issues so i thi k what tbe C C , is promising to do is in the right direction.

We have been voting for decades. How come the Christian Council all of sudden thinks folks do not know how to vote appropriately, and need to be taught?

Many of us understand the Christian Council's frustration with the Government and its Agencies. But it must tread carefully not to earn the tag that it is on the Government's case to speed up its fall because it sees a brighter hope for its tithes to grow under any better Administration. Just yesterday, a similar opinion was articulated by a former US Secretary of Labor, Robert Reich, on NBC Television, regarding a speech he had been scheduled to give at an event organized by some Christian entity. Dr. Reich said just before he went to the podium a Pastor that was instrumental to his appearance at the event moved over and whispered into his ear that Dr. Reich should not say anything against the Wealthy because the work of the Pastors depend on their riches.
