Once people taste your ruthlessness, they will whip themselves in line. I keep asking the same question why Ghana hasn't built enough prisons to match up its population growth and growth in crime. How do develop with so much crime going on? It's like travelling on the Tema motorway at 10 miles/hour whilst everyone else is going 70 miles/hour.

Mahama's government is dealing with these among other things but other people are SABOTAGING. You are being used as stooges.Do they know who you are NPP will not reverse whatever situation at the click of their fingers and it coming into power.It is not the first time this is part of the Ghanaian make up regardless of who is in power. All of you people be prepared to pay taxes to help the government. The countries who you all look up to and compare Ghana to, have systems in place for tax collection to pay for services. There is a culture embedded within some Ghanaian people do not want to pay for services but want to benefit. These people are exposed when they arrive overseas. They do not want to pay even the room they rent because they never paid rent,utility bills etc in Ghana. In the developed countries all SERVICES are paid for through taxes and more taxes even those on benefits. The current government is on COURSE. Do not allow the saboteur to misinform or misguide you. Check with your relatives friends, pen-pals and you will be told. STOP THE PHDs(pull him down) for goodness sake. Demonstrate instead that you will pay increase taxes not about falsehood.

Madam Dr. Pinamang Appau, this is not an appropriate answer! This is exactly what the Auditor-General's report queried you to do. You cannot repeat those same words as your answer. Please say exactly what have been done with those scoundrels in the pay office who made those payments to the 'ghosts'. Don't they know to whom they dished out the money? Are there no Attendance Registers to which your Accounting Department would refer to ensure that those to whom the money was being paid actually earned it? This is not the first instance of spurious names on the payroll. Are there no checks and balances in the system to ensure that those nincompoops in the accounting office are not feeding fat on the peoples' money? Thank you for your services.

Your response could have disclosed, at least, that a bunch of the perpetrators have been handed over to the police for investigation.

Your substantive role of being the head of the Hospital, carries a supplementary responsibility of dele- gating supervisor in the chain of command to invigilate and report back to you as the one ultimately answerable.

Until measures are taken to completely revamp the health sector organized looting and sharing can never be abated.The chain of corruption in the health sector runs from the very top to the buttom.There is a huge crime syndicate in the health sector involving high profile civil servants who superintend over the rot.The evidence to this is what happened at the PAC hearing to the extent of over 10 million Ghana Cedis lost through illicit procurement.Even a baby born today will know such major deals as procurement of vehicles and auctioning cannot be without the knowledge of the Director General Ebenezah Appiah Denkyira yet he pretended innocent.Even how a fake service personnel can be involved in such high profile transactions without the knowledge of a top management person raises eyebrows.The GHS is now a hub of family and friends in which unskilled professionals including illiterates and semi-literates are roped in by the hierarchy to be used as conduits to loot and divert funds.These people whose survival is directly depended on top officials are usually sycophants and the loyal informants who report people to be quickly axed by the hierarchy of the GHS to maintain the sanctity of the stinging corruption in that organization.Finance officers(accountants),procurement officers,transport officers,estate officers ,administrators and Directors in districts and regions are usually loyalists linked to the hierarchy of GHS at headquarters in an organized crime syndicate that makes organize looting of money and logistics under cover relatively easy.The sophisticated nature of the corruption machinery in the health sector involving very top technocrats both at the GHS and the Health Ministry who have been there for decades and know the terrain well will be extremely difficult to break.The vigilance of these white collar criminals in hastily victimizing genuine workers oppose to the rot in the GHS have created a culture of silence and fear in the midst of naked corruption known to all and sundry.If Appiah Denkyira,the DG of GHS can connive to dubiously and falsely implicate colleague doctors with a mental illness and use that as basis to dismiss them to cover stinging corruption in Effia Nkwanta hospital that was needlessly killing patients,then it is obvious who is superintending over the rot in the service.He dismissed the doctors vehemently opposed to the stinging corruption in Effia Nkwanta in less than one month in post clearly indicating the caliber of people we have as technocrats in key position of responsibility.The doctors are currently fighting their cases in the Human Rights Court with everything done with the help of the AG department to suppress and destroy their case in favour of Appiah Denkyira and his cohorts.What the PAC is seeing is just the tip of the iceberg as the GHS is collapsing under massive corruption superintendent by very corrupt and irresponsible management just interested in how they can outwit the system to illegally amass wealth.
