When it comes to awarding scholarships, the procedure is well laid out.

That is why there is an instituted scholarship awarding institution. And the means to attracting such opportunities are very much opened to the public.

Therefore, jumping here to make unsubstantiated claims about things you have no clue to is very unfortunate.

I would advise that, instead of trying to making the government of the day unpopular whatever your political affliction, I advise it should not be through the spread of lies.

The Government is to lauded for the brilliant initiative that is about to be brought on board, and the procedure, as to who qualifies for the scholarship i believe has be perfectly outlined. Do open yourself up to the reality and make constructive claims.

Ghana must grow, but not with lies.
God bless Ghana.

This is the reason why I find it difficult to support any party in the country. None of them is the least honest nor do they think of the nation's development. Their whole focus is; Its my time to get rich; I have only a short time to do this and I would be the biggest fool if I fail. Our gov't takes wrong priorities at wrong times.

It is certainly the responsibilty of the any Government to mmake sure that our youth get the best education through central funding. Why should this be discriminatory with only some getting this opportunity and the media labeling it as the President scholarship. This is no scholarship but a basic necessity for all students period. There was no campaigning for better education in Mahama mandate during his campaign . Nana pinched my idea and added it to his which we great because a wise man browse the internet to get the best. Mahama certainly did not.

This is a very good move investing in our youth and future. That's where our money have to be spent ,not on branding buses with the present and past presidents pictures, or steeling the the money into thier acounts.

The total number of educational institutions at all levels has risen sharply from 45,447 in the 2008/09 academic year to 57,270 in the 2014/15 academic year, representing an increase of 11,823 or 26%.

This desperate attempt of rushing the Eastern region with all these goodies is only to satisfy their agenda 50-50 concerning the November General elections. Yes, it is progressive, but as a concern President, he is just being even conscious of the fact that, before we get to the dream; every body moves along.

On the point that it is needless, I disagree with you again totally on that. Because every year, the report is that, between 45% and 57% of students who qualify for secondary education are denied the opportunity of benefiting. Why? part of the reason is that, that are some who actually cannot afford.

And these are the people government is trying to help with these scholarship opportunities.

You also alleged that, the government is only attempting to woo the people of the Eastern Region with this initiative, this claim too is false.

The last time, the Paramount Chief of the area was in the media, citing the government as sidelining the people of the Eastern Region.

And at this time that through merit, He is giving the people of the Region the chance, you are here again smearing the government in a bad light for the move taken.

It saddens the heart sometimes to know that, some of you can never recognize right even if you see them, because of your political biases.

Only God can help this country.

And these set of students can only be fortunate to benefit from what already is in the system.

The NDC government lead by President Mahama is on course for a better Ghana.
