It is also symptomatic of how political party elites in Ghana and Africa worm their way into the confidences of persons perceived as likely to ascend to power positions for purposes of eventual personal economic gain at the expense of the generality of the mass of Party members and the Nation which every President swears to serve under the Constitution"

And per this article, I think if indeed you are to be very objective to understand the situation leading to the reduction, You were told the cedi has gain a bit of stability.

I am not sure which advisory role she is playing but any role in the absence of more intelligent, competent, learned, more qualified people to give this government an advice has led to the deteriorating condition in Ghana and the nation going backward since Mahama and NDC took over the reigns of government in Ghana. Cedi has falled from 1.12 to 3.74 against the dollar while price of crude oul per barrel has faklen from 110 in June 2013 to under 30 dollars
