Was this action taken in consultation with the DISECs.? This is a misplaced priority.

It was like the corpse of the chief was being guarded to prevent the perpetuation of this historic practice. It was after a week after the burial of Kwaku Boateng that the military and plain cloth policemen left Koforidua.

It is not outsiders inciting fear in the people living in these districts but the practice of diehards who cannot let go of "when we were feared warrior" mentality in an age of modern warfare. But this is happening in Akan land, we are all MUTE and allowing this to go on. Where are OccupyGhana, CJA, Bar Association, Parliament, Human Rights Experts, Political Parties, etc. Because as some are currently preaching, Ghana belongs to Akans! So they can do anything they want and we should accept it!

Why do we continue to think backwards under the guise of tradition.Just sit back and think about this why will you shut a school down for the death of a chief?why will gamble with the future of our future leaders?It's a shame.This happening all over the country where chiefs place themselves first not thinking about the people the well being of the people.Another case in point recently the chief of Nkoranza B/A had to place a ban on all funerals in the district because he was going to eat Yam so families had to leave their dead families in mortuaries for months till the chief eats his Yam just consider the financial burden that was placed on these families some are left in debt forgetting that all these monies could be used to educate the children in the family very sad indeed.We continue to refuse to think out of the box because we continue to believe in the status quo and tradition which we all know has retarded our advancement up to this day.It is about time.Thanks.
