I do not blame Gina Blay because she is playing politics with Nana Oyes private matter. What Ginas reporters failed to report is the fact that Nana Oye was welcome to the party grounds with the gospel song "Asemp papa bi a mati, oye" and there was a mass dance.

Gina also failed to report that like Hanah Bissiw, Nana Oye did not receive only a private Jet as a birthday present from her beloved husband, but also a three bedroom vacation ranch on 70 acre land in the Bahamas with five horses, a limo, swimming pool, a private gulf park and a fifty bedroom guest house.

The jealous folks may join us in Bahamas when we celebrate the 25th marriage anniversary of the Nana and Tony.

A thief in my understanding is someone who simply has taken what is not legally his/hers.

But in the case of Nana Oye Lithur until she's proven to have used state money for the celebration, I do not think anyone has the right to refer to her as a thief. And I do not believe she is one either.

Nana Oye Lithur as a matter of fact was an accomplished fellow before appointed as a minister of state.

And I do not think she would not have celebrated her birthday even if she wasn't in office.

I believe her former engagements likewise could have afford her the luxury of a birthday of a kind.

C'mon do we say because she is a minister of state so she has no right to private life? Let us come of age and do politics the mature way.

Until her appointment as minister, Oye Lithur was a strong human rights advocate and head of the local chapter of the Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative (CHRI) in Ghana. She later formed her own NGO – Human Rights Advocacy Centre (HRAC).

The above listed engagements are even prove of the fact that, Nana Oye did not err anyway in the celebration and the money she invested into it, why?

She gain her money the legal way, and there is nothing wrong in the way she decides to use it.

The President through several initiatives and time again stated his readiness to fight the character ingrained canker.

The President has not renege on the promise of fighting the canker either.

The prove of the fact is that, even Ministers or appointees of his government who have been alleged in the past to have engaged in economic malfeasance have all been one way or the other, dragged before committees to answer for the perceived malfeasance.

Unless you have so soon forgotten that Abuga Pele is within the grips of the law for similar allegation leveled against him.

who is Abuga Pele, he is an appointee of the current government.

Then you are wrong. Wrong on three counts:

1. Nana Oye is not from a family whose grand parents and fathers (politicians) became rich through politics.

2. The party you are jealous of could be put together by Mr. Lithur who was rich before Nana became a Minister.

3. As the only girl of her family her brothers could organize such party with ease.

The problem we have in Ghana is that when we list rich people in Ghana we fail to list people whose parents, served Ghana with integrity and the only legacy they left for their children is education and integrity. These children through hard work have made it in life yet are not known because of their humility. These are the rich people behind Nana Oye.

Kyekyeku be assured, Nana Oye will be if not one of two, the only minister who will leave office with no corruption tag.
