Parliament or the ruling government must step in and ensure enactment of laws that will prevent the Fulani from destroying farms.
Suggestion: Projects like SADA can be designed to develop paddocks to house cattle and other livestock. Boreholes can be dugged, Pastures can be established, and rotational grazing on large well developed paddocks practiced.
Please stop beating about the bush and making situations difficult for the security agencies and all.

Now, what documents are you talking about? Even if there is any document, the activities of the Fulanis have nullified any agreement made. Remember that agreement is made between two or more people and all the parties should uphold what the agreement says. Any despicable act by one of the parties, nullify the agreement as the fulanis are doing. They have no right to destroy people farmlands with their cattles while at the same time, raping pregnant women and shooting farmers to death while bragging that the police cannot do anything against them. Just a few days ago some armed Fulanis hijacked a passenger bus on the way to Kumasi from Yeji and robbed the passengers at gun point, killing one passenger in the process.

The frequency at which these Fulanis are assaulting Ghanaians they have become more dangerous to the population than the Yemeni detainees are now.

The Fulanis are our immediate and present danger that need be tackled appropriately. So, let Anning get his priorities right. If he was scared of the detainees who are closely monitored and are more likely to comport themselves, knowing we are only doing them a favor, how could he expect ordinary farmers not to be scared of the Fulanis who are constantly threatening them?

In fact, I grew up alongside some of those whose ancestors had long taken root in the Country. And those were decent human beings. Besides, my own Dad used to own Cattle which were very well taken care of by some Fulanis in the 50's and 60's.

So, I am not being xenophobic with my observations. Even in those earlier days when my Dad owned his Cattle, the animals were kept in huge Kraals constructed with poles and sticks. The Cow dun they so massively dropped everywhere in the Kraal was then scooped out every now and then to keep the space clean. And some farmers growing various crops would come to pick some of the dun up to fertilize their farms.

Whenever a Cow broke out of the barn, my Dad would pay for folks to go look for it and the Herdsmen would lead the animals back into the Kraal. If in their runs outside the barn the animals destroyed anyone's crop or properties, my Dad would find a mediator to go plead with the victims to make some acceptable compensatory payments to settle the case.

Such was much of how Cattle were raised in our Community. My Dad became a District Commissioner at some point in his life, and I remember that he was called upon by locals to intervene in the invasion of migrating Fulanis and their Cattle heading Southwards from the North.

Every now and then my Dad would call in the Police go talk to the Fulanis and have them organize their herds in a neat procession along the highways and out of people's farms. There were instances that the Fulanis had to offer some of their Cattle for payment of properties or crops destroyed. These cases were amicably settled as such.

It is therefore unacceptable for the authorities to look away from the realities of rampaging Cattle and the brazen life-threatening behaviors of the current wave of Fulani migrants and Herdsmen. That is what I was referring to. I have nothing against Fulanis as a People. But I do object to the fact that the chosen nomadic life-style of some should be a burden we should all gladly bear, much to the detriment of the Society.

The primordial responsibility and duty of any functioning government in a democracy is to provide and guarantee citizens with security for their lives, properties, liberties and rights. However in the context of the current deadly circumstances where citizens of Agogo are losing their lives through no fault of theirs protecting their God given ancestral land and farms from criminal Fulani henchmen and herdsmen, l submit that government at all levels,national regional and local, have woefully failed our kinsmen and compatriots of Agogo. Therefore citizens of Agogo must rise up to defend their lives and properties to flush out the menace confronting them with the total support of all peace loving Ghanaians. This is so because those who should speak to this issues re themselves neck deep into the venture,the chief Nana Akuaku Sapong is the worst culprit in this matter,land acquisitions for farming and cattle ranches begins with traditional rulers and family members who ve lands but the powers re vested in the chief and the state per extension.What was the agreements?if people re being killed,rape and farms being destroyed as a result of Fulani operations who addresses them?between humans and animals who comes first?.Fulani present in the northern dates back to ages but we don't hear of rape,arm robbery,and destruction of farms as often as we do in Agogo area,maybe it's about time we register them and give them responsibilities in our communities especially those who want to be Ghanaians or re Ghanaians because some travelers,there's a brisk business going on as some steal this animal from neighboring countries to sell,so it's this persons who destroy farms rape and kill people in Agogo.why can't we set up a border post in that area?to protect lives and properties?,I was so disappointed in Kofi Boakye to threatening to arrest a sitting mp just because he called for the youth there to rise against Fulani,s,what is Yaa Asantuwaa glorified for and all warriors who stood up for injustices in some parts of the country?again why is he Kofi Boakye different from other police officers?it because sometimes he uses unconventional police methods to achieve results,so he should apologize to the mp,just recently a taxi driver was rewarded for a brave action,is that different from the mp,s call?we don't ve to be hypocritical about this.
