I would take this to mean Anas can go ahead and begin to screen his episode -Ghana in the Eyes of God - nationwide.

This corrupt judge had thought he was above the law......Simple fact is, if in the act of trespassing somebody's property you came across an unlawful behaviour, such as chancing upon somebody raping an underage girl, it wouldn't excuse the rapist of lawful prosecution on the simple defence that the one who saw him raping the underage kid was trespassing his property.

The focus has got nothing to do with where the bribe taking took place - his residence - hence his clinging to privacy rights, but that he took bribe (unlawful act) to subvert justice. It is not about the "where" but "what and how". Rape often takes place in the home, yet we prosecute and jail people for it. The law does not stop at your doorsteps, Justice Dery, it operates everywhere you are.

The undercover documentation of his bribe taking does not invalidate the fact that him taking bribe to avert justice was wrong. So far we have not heard him denied the evidence of his bribe taking; all that he is saying is, he was not put on notice before the videotaping took place, hence, any evidence obtained is null and void. Please go tell that to toddlers. Shame on you Paul Dery!

Majority of chiefs who were assembled did not seem to understand what those lawyers under the "barrel of a gun" framed as constitution. So I do want to know exactly what is contained in article 8 for which Tiger Eye violated.

On the surface one may think this ruling goes against justice Dery but it is rather giving him weapon to free himself from this issue. If supreme court has admitted the violation of any provision in the constitution by Tiger eye, then it is a big weapon for the embattle judges to use to discredit the evidence during trial. Remember that every ruling by the supreme court sets precedent and it becomes law. If the evidence was obtained unlawfully, then it cannot be used to convict any judge.
