This act will prevent further deaths if you do not know. This Probe will help understand the issues and necessary actions taken. This is a good call from the Minister. We must understand that Korle Bu is a semi autonomous body and the Minister can only intervene when things get bad which he just did.

What Korle Bu is leadership and not equipments. Because in the past four years, the President has embarked on massive infrastructure refurbishment and the provision of equipment in Korle Bu . Key among them is the $57 Million project to replace and rehabilitate obsolete equipment and theatres. Twelve operating theatres for Pediatric and General Surgery (which had been closed for close to eight years), the Neo-natal Intensive care Unit and the Baby unit were refurbished.
Korle Bu also took delivery of Mammography, MRI and CT Scan X-ray equipment as well as Oxygen plants. Clearly the issue at Korle Bu is not about equipment is about leadership. The probe by the Minister is one of several actions to end the crisis there

Have faith my friend. You are asked to believe in the mirages that this government creates and rules by. One way or the other most of us can't be sure that these projects even exist. But when we die in hospital or while waiting for surgery or when nurses are not paid, that we can be sure of. But this is exactly what we are told not to judge this government on. "Animal Farm" should be essential reading in school. This is a government with very low standards, and for this reason can't reason that we may be capable of higher thought than they give us credit for.

The problem at Korle Bu is not about the particular government in power, but its a pure issue of management. And I think as usual, under performing managers must be shown the exit.

This government led by the President Mahama certainly has proven beyond any doubt that is capable and the right person to lead this nation.

In terms development under his stewardship, he has invested heavily into the health sector. A case which should averted all these happenings but for the managerial failure.

According to the Greenbook by the NDC government,
Government has pumped billions of Ghana Cedis into the provision of modern hospitals and the upgrading of facilities for speedy and quality healthcare delivery. There are currently several major hospital projects under construction, which when completed will deliver about 6,000 new hospital beds to facilitate access to improved health care.

These are prove the government is simply committed!

Many of the animals who shouted most about the virtues of the revolution did not live to see that day. They died from exhausting themselves to bring forth the wonderful day . Those who remained found they had been deceived. It is nice to know that there many hospital projects in the pipeline, but should we not also think of short-term delivery of health to those who are currently dying because of lack of essential equipment required to save them.

Mr Alex Segbefia--the Minister of Health should publickly let us know the outcome of any Committee of Enquiries Report and their recommmendations.
This Government should stop 'playing politics with people's lives.
When at all will we realise that 'Health is Wealth'and allocate much resources to our health institutions. My heart bleeds as I write this piece.
This can't be Dr.Kwame Nkrumah's Ghana.
Mr President,please visit the Hospital yourself and have a word with the Doctors to ascertain the facts yourself,if you really care about the Welfare of Ghanaians.

NDC problem is only to win election hence loosing sight of very important areas. Yes they are building 200 schools etc but what about the conditions/ salaries of teachers? Even their training allowances have been canceled so you how dangerous the country is moving towards.

Private clinics with half of Korle bu's capability are able to deliver 10 times more than Korle bu . Just privatize the hospital and save the average Ghanaian the agony of pouring huge sums of money into this bottomless pit.

In the United States, we Ghanaians are every where processing surgical instruments for thousands and thousands of surgeries each year - yet Ghana is still far behind.
I founded the consortium of sterile sciences and helping surgeons each day save lives. When I tried to help train Ghanaians for free to ensure that they would provide sterile and functional instruments for surgery - no one from the ministry of health responded to my call. Even the presidents office in Ghana does not respond to their emails. How can we help save lives in Ghana?
