Of course, it's wrong to pass himself off as a Sheikh if he's not, but chances are he never did. Our journalists seem to have a thing for hyperbolic adulation!

  We as responsible citizens should be very mindful of titles we give to people. Media practitioners should be sure they have verified the titles people present themselves with. Sometimes even drug sellers are addressed as doctors on our radios, rendering the listening public vulnerable to follow whatever they say as coming from a "doctor".
