The only avowed enemy of Christians is Satan and so if Muslims have issues with traditional authorities, the best place Muslim youth should have attacked was the shrines of the traditional deities and not six ( Christian churches. This was deliberate and not a mistake. What would have happened afterwards if Christians had retaliated? Does it mean that Muslims are agents of Satan who has vowed to destroy the church? This is why Mahama should have condemned the Muslim youth for this needless provocation but unfortunately he did not. Is it because he is happy Muslims are destroying the church or he is brainless as a father.

However, i am not sure he can be impeached because of the current set up of the Parliament. Any idea of impeachment will be an exercise in futility. The NDC form the majority in Parliament and I don't see any scenario where his own party members are going to side with the minority to acquire enough votes to impeach him. It is unfortunate

The Minority should find a better fault with the President to remove him from Power. This is the most shallow, self-serving nonsense I have encountered from the Minority, thus far. They failed to get their way via fear-mongering among the Public on this issue. So, they are now exploring this moronic impeachment crap.

As much as many Ghanaians are looking for a change of Government, this issue of Gitmo 2 in Ghana is a total non-starter for such a change. The Opposition must find a better reason to demand the removal of the President. I strongly believe the President was well within his Constitutional limits to accept the Gitmo 2. If anyone deserves to be impeached from his or her elected Office, it is Akufo-Addo. He should be removed for Bawumia or some other more honest and pragmatic visionary to lead the NPP.

The Opposition is simply reaching for anything they could grab to use to whip Mahama out of Power. That being said, the case of the Gitmo 2 has exposed the shallowness of the Opposition, their hypocrisy and religious bigotry.

There is no doubt in my mind that had Akufo-Addo, for instance, been the incumbent President, he would have negotiated with the Americans even more clandestinely and offered something beyond what Mahama might have agreed to.

This pseudo-Nationalist fervor artificially infused into the Gitmo 2 case by the Opposition is not only laughable but also cynical. Left to the Akufo-Addo-inspired Opposition, Mahama's Administration should have been completely starved of any Diplomatic relationship with the USA. The current leadership of the NPP under Akufo-Addo's flagbearership, in particular, would rather have the USA deny the Mahama Administration any means to ameliorate its relationship with the World's only Super Power and Capitalist champion, so that Akufo-Addo and his minions could make a farcical claim of being the only group in Ghana that has some exclusive access to the USA Government, and could induce the USA to help Ghana soar again.

That is a typical P.H.D. (Pull-Him-Down) politicking in Ghana. The ultra-selfish ambition of the Akufo-Addo Brigade and Mafia would stop at nothing to snatch Power for the legendary loser in Ghanaian Politics. That is a big shame and the repercussions of the Minority actions on the Gitmo 2 would negatively impact all Ghanaians for a long time. The acceptance of the 2 former detainees has the potential to help Ghana more than our Authorities' rejection of them.

In spite of the formal Political status of many of these anti-Gitmo 2, MPs and closeted partisan Clergies included, they do not have an exclusive wisdom on this matter. And all ordinary Ghanaians with the requisite resources must investigate this case thoroughly to learn the real facts to make wiser assessment of the case than the Minority Politicians are trying to shove down our throats.
